that long oo and sharp a and stay are maybe simpler sounds to identify for the dog especially in terms of her enunciation and encouragement with English.

English is a better language than Chinese (or its variants).

This is extremely impressive for only 7 weeks. How'd you do it?
@Smific11 жыл бұрын
I've actually heard that with these types of resilient breeds, using a command only language is more useful. It makes the owners desires more clear and more firm. Mandarin is a sharp and precise language, making it more reasonable for the dog to understand. Shibas are more responsive to reward training as well. All in all, so well trained, with loving owners. Beautiful dog.

+zousky gaming I'm seeing a lot of vids about dogs like the 101 vids on utube but they always say the breeds im interested in should be adopted by those who have dog experience, not recommneded for first time dog owners. I am interested in being a first time dog owner but am unsure if the shiba breed is a good choice for me alot. One issue is that our house is rather big and mom will prob freak out if i showed her how hyper Shiba's are. Wondering if you have any suggestions/tips or thoughts on this. I could use all the insight/help I can get.
@LingLinItRhymes8 жыл бұрын
+drakke125Channel All dogs have different personality. My shiba had a litter - one is super active and one is super shy. Both would've been okay with first time owners IMO. However, you do have to make sure shibas are always on leash when outside. They chase after everything that moves (squirrels, leaves, birds) and you can't get them back. Shibas also tend to do whatever they want. They don't get the title for 'most cat like dogs' for no reason.
@feiyangjia8 жыл бұрын
+drakke125Channel I think that Shiba Inus are perfectly fine with first-time dog owners, if you're up for a challenge. Some of the best Shiba Inu trainers I know are first-time dog owners.

Ling Lin+ Well, then my cats are easier to train & behave better than Shibas. I walk my 2 cats off-leash in nature. I´m in the front & they follow. They never run off and we do this now for 8 years. (We´re out every second day...so they had plenty of opportunities to run off). My cats chase birds, mice & snakes...but wild animals aren´t stupid, they will run off before somebody gets close. For safety I walk in the front & if we go into a new trail, I cough loudly to spook wildlife & also pay attention. We had in 8 years only a few casualties: 2 Snakes & 2 Mice. When my cats catch something, they bring that to me. They don´t run off with it. Sometimes my male cat wants to walk another trail than me & may walk a few meters into that trail. Still I go my own way & when he sees that I´m walking off, after 15-20 meters he runs to me whining. My girl is very reliable, i rarely need to call her at all. Also they stick together no matter what, they start calling each other after 2-5 meters apart. When one calls the other, the other comes running immediately while calling back. I had no problems with my cats off-leash, so a dog should make even less problems imo. The owner just have to pay attention all the time & train the pet. If dogs chase leaves...they are still immature, not walking outside enough, bored, not trained at all etc. Even my cats don´t chase leaves, as kittens yes...but not as adults.

I wish i could start training my puppy but its so hard because he's absolutely terrified of everything. He's a 4 month old Shiba Inu and i have had him for 3 weeks but he's still scared of me my brother and my bf. he flinches to every little thing and treats won't work because he's too scared to approach you for it. He starting to be just a tiny bit better, at night time he'll jump on my bed to sleep with me but thats it.
