If you find the background noise in this video and the sound of sticky tape being unwound moving well good for you. It isnt mystical or moving. If this was a european would you be watching? Be honest. Its bunkum.

Milennials and GenZ have an entirely different perception of the world as contrasted to a 65+ year old person. Things we simply ignored are now full blown distractions as well as hurdles to learning for the youth. The conclusion is “ lives centered around internet technology is producing a generation of artificial dependency.” In short, the internet is your new drug, and if the “hit” isn’t enough, you don’t get the endorphin release needed. And the result is Columbine or Uvalde, Sandy Hook, etc…..
Yes please more ASMR paintings! The raw sounds of art being created is why I enjoy art myself. I always enjoy the sounds of different mediums as I create. Would love more of these videos master

It's always wonderful to watch you work, Mr. Shibasaki. No talking and no music brings the focus in toward the sounds of the painting process, which is nice from time to time. I'll be praying that your health makes a solid recovery so that we may all continue to enjoy watching you work.

This was absolutely fascinating to watch. I treat my paint brushes like they're fragile instruments but you treat them like tools. Your brush technique has inspired me to stop babying my paint brushes. 😊
Oddly enough, I found that this actually helped me focus while working on something, the sounds I mean. It is so satisfying watching the picture come together and that fire with the smoke coming off of it is amazing. It is stunning how at first it just seems like random bits of color, but then it comes together into something... extraordinary.
I am a gruff 50 year old man, with little to no interest in art. I started watching this video, seeing these sloppy strokes, thinking to myself that a 3 year could do this. I have never in my life, seen something inanimate come to life in such a way. This man used his vision and talent to bring something so unimaginably beautiful to us, like a precious gift. This brought tears to my eyes.

What is ASMR? ASMR, which stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is a sensory reaction some people experience when they listen to specific auditory triggers. The feeling is often described as: A delightful, tingling sensation on the skin That starts on the scalp and travels down the neck Sometimes, it extends to the spine Includes feelings of relaxation and well-being Usually, when people talk about ASMR, they refer to KZbin videos.

My grandma passed in January and she painted watercolors. She was locally famous for her work, but stopped painting when her hands started hurting too much, and it got too tiring for her to walk upstairs to her art room. It’s about 6 feet by 10 feet, with two big windows… perfect for painting. My mom and aunt have been going through her art room the last week, and I helped some. It was full of boxes of references and old brushes and dried up cracked up paints. I’ve been thinking about taking it up, maybe just for a while, and your videos make me sad, but happy too, because I know she would have loved watching them too. Thank you for sharing your process, be well.
