"My goal was one so small. Now it's one death for all." FRICK, I LOVE THIS LINE SO MUCH! It shows how much Shigaraki's grown from being an "immature man-child" when we first met him to the true villain he is now. I love that it's not just the heroes who get stronger and grow through hardship and have "power of friendship" moments. The baddies get their own moments like that too. Awesome work as always, Hala!

Yes!! I agree, I really like that villain have growth just as heroes!! Also, about the "power of friendship" , I think the LOV has also a lot of that too, even being villain. Think that half of the reason Shigaraki won at the fight at Deika City is because Twice overcome his traume BECAUSE Toga was injured. And because Dabi was trusted to take over the ice guy and he did. So... Yeah, "power of friendship" is everywhere😂

Wonderful, truly wonderful. This would totally fit a scene where Deku's trying to reach out to him, to save him and while Shigaraki can see that Deku's sincere in his goals-he also sees the rotten world he's trying to defend, a world that abandoned him, a world that broke him, a world that he...hates with every fiber of his being. So he looks Deku in the eye, he says nothing but Deku knows what he's concluded as the symbol of fear turns his back on him and the broken world.

This is so good! I wasn't expecting a Shigaraki song to sound so much like mourning, but it fits wonderfully. The soft singing at the very beginning and end is hauntingly beautiful. I love the use of piano, making it sound almost like rain drops falling, and the clock ticking down before the chorus adds a sense of inevitability. This whole thing is a masterpiece and you two sound amazing together. Edit: Just noticed the voices layered under the final chorus after relistening. So cool. Not only does it work to make the sound bigger, I love how thematically there's a whole group of voices crying out to be heard but nearly getting drowned out. I feel like every time I listen to your stuff I find something new and I love it.
