Awesome instruction...It is quick, clear and is perfect for me. The guys I grapple with often assume the defensive posture in this video. - I will use this in class.

I use this one quite a bit vs BJJ guys, I find by hooking that leg in early it prevents them pulling guard. leaving it there vs a Judoka would be a bad idea but vs a BJJ guy I have the confidence to hop around for as long as I like, also if the get their leg back you can turn in for a forward throw. I like to do this off a one sided grip
@Shigashi845 жыл бұрын
Awesome. It works great with a one sided grip like you said. Like cross collar. and if it fails, you can rip a savagae seoi otoshi off of it.

Dominating the posture is the key because if he had posture there you're getting flattened by a double leg no question.

I like bjj stance videos caus i can use it in ju jitsu as well since many opponents do same thing, usualy they are stonger in that positikn so i cant pull them to me, should ouchi be a good ides for me?
@Shigashi845 жыл бұрын
The main set up for low squat opponents should be the snap down. If they give you the right reaction, then ouchi would be great.

@@fullcontrol1519 Keep them at a distance using the hand positioning stuff. You dont want shorter athletes access to your hips since they are already lower. So deep over the back. Hip to hip stuff should be a no go. Hope this helps

Sensei Higashi. What are your thoughts on the opponent kind of slipping his head under your arm to the opposite side as defense move? because i already know this version of osoto gari (my favourite throw). But im bjj player and in bjj my opponents just go lower with their head and under my arm and reset their posture on the other side of my arm. This prevents me from pushing them on the side i wanna go for the throw...Currently i'm working on my tomeo nage as a counter to their ducking under. Sometimes i can get it done, but its hard. Im thankful for every advise....

Well !!! I like the video and the concept but your leg is exposed when you brake opponent poster, any good bjj practionner will grab that leg and single leg take down you every time. 🤷♂️
