But I think there's something to be said about how well Shigekix was rocking the beat/killing the beat I'm the first 3 rounds. Like he was adapting his sets and listening to the music while doing power. I don't know - I think that should get a bit more credit

It doesn't mean anything if you simply cannot dance to the beat. Menno is rarely on beat and struggles with his top rock, which is why he isn't in the same league as some of the greatest bboys of all time..

Shigekix hits beats, but his body didn't follow the music. There's a big difference. Shigekix's body would stutter, Menno just flows. That's why he wins.

Shigekix only problem is his flow, when middle of his set he tends to think on what to do next eventually it will come naturally to him in the next couple of years and then he will be unstoppable. Menno is like a Robot he has no Musicality in him at all but he still somehow kills his set.

Basing you conclusion solely on your eyes and ears from the perspective of a cameraman on a KZbin video does not bring out the true atmosphere of this battle. A battle isn't just won with moves, it's also a dominance of floor presence, your showmanship of your style, and how well you can use your moves to connect the audience to the music.
