I was talking with Poe at a local jam today and he said shigekix looks way to repetitive and we had a chat that stripes flow and character outweighed shigekix moves. You guys aren't there live and so you don't see how many moves the judges have seen and what they saw was shigekix repeating and messing up. Poe also said shigekix's flares were messy as they constantly scraped the floor

Why? I spoke with one of the judges, Poe one who flew back down to Australia and he told me shigekix looked way to repetitive and that his rounds looked similar and his flares also scraped the floor alot, those were some of his reasons and this guy is old school mzk and style elements

Oce Galaxy if you want to nitpick then you can do that and make anybody the loser in a battle. For anybody with plain eyes, it was obvious that Shigekix won though.

You realize theirs over 2k competitors at the jam and shigekix's stuff does look repetitive when you can take into account that the judges have to separate the 2k into groups of 300 and pick the top 12, at some point some of the moves become similar and repetitive. if you've been to a jam, that goes on for 4+ hours you'd begin to understand judge fatigue and the feeling that everything looks the same. Poe wasn't nitpicking, its the small details in the battle that make all the difference. If your flare was scraping the ground, it'd feel and look messy so details like that can make all the difference. Or how a freeze is used in your round and whether you are facing your opponent. You need to understand those small details
