Hello! So happy your baby is ok. I have a 2yo shih tzu that I’m neutering because he had a prostate infection/uti. I’m so worried about neutering him because my other shih tzu lived so long without it. I know it’s the right thing. Any advice? I’m so lost right now. I want my fur baby forever and ever. The cone can be taken off for eating, walking, etc when you are with them. It’s just to keep them from licking & chewing on the stitches. Our Lacey never wore a cone. Our Snickers didn’t wear his long either.

I went with my mum to get her little bloke after his operation as it was late in the evening & all he did was fall over. I stayed the night & they both fell asleep on the lounge only for me to see him wagging his tail at 0500 when I had to leave to get up for work.

Glad he had a good recovery! I had Theo get neutered last February, and he was sleeping for most of the 1st day, but was crazy for every other day 🤦‍♀️ He has so much energy, and he couldn’t run, so he was biting more but luckily he had a quick recovery. 🐶

Oh Chase it was so hard seeing you not feeling well! We are happy you are now getting better and back to your happy, wonderful and bouncy self! The soft cone looks SO MUCH more comfortable!! When Olive gets spayed we will be using that and a recovery suit. Keep on healing! Sending hugs ! 💕

@@chasetheshihtzu1111 my vet gave me a soft plastic cone that was less cumbersome. It was blue and it looked sorta like a sunflower with my shih tzu's face in the center. It was soooooo cute. Much less cumbersome and uncomfortable than the hard plastic. It still worked too ... she could not lick her stitches while wearing it. .
