Great memories to my Late Friend, Hillary Raymond Locham Akou, who introduced to this and many Shika Shika hits in 1979-1980 . I was then in S.1 and just 14 years old at Kotido SS. Now 55 years old and I can still sing every word in the hit! RIP great friend!

I can remember I was form one in ordinary level secondary in the year 1980. I also remember Radio Soroti in Uganda, ilikuwa moto sana, muziki kwa sana.

"Automatic" was her Nickname and she could dance anything from Dingi-dingi to Nyako ber songs and many more. It was in the two-year dance 1979/80 (December 31 to the 1st of January) in Koch Goma community centre, Gulu (Northern Uganda). And true to her style in her blue jeans trousers, green blouse and high-heeled shoes; we had an unforgettable moment with NYAKO BER crowning it as it played and kept us to our feet on the dancing floor..... Yes! that was the time. Amoto Lu Koch ducu.

Great days of the years 1979 to 1980 and 1981 in Koch Ongako P.7 School which would be hired to stage night disco dances. Great organisers such as Lacere and others. These guys were also dealers in the vinyls in Gulu town and would have the very latest lingala and the "nyarayinya" hits from Kenya through Malaba and Mable then Gulu.
