Shiki, I’m jut like you in that I could listen to Jungkook’s voice all day. He is able to get the correct harmonies and adlibs precisely because he IS a musical GENIUS/PRODIGY. I’m a trained vocalist having done years of vocal training. The techniques he uses quite effortlessly are self taught. He mentioned in an interview that vocal lessons interfered with his own personal style and changed how his vocals sounded. He decided then and there to learn new vocal techniques and integrate them into his own style. He felt intimidated by other main vocalists in idol groups so he pushed himself and practiced relentlessly until he was satisfied that he got it right. His self taught techniques took me years to learn. He instinctively uses the right adlibs and harmonies that add such depth to any song he does. The end result are songs that are so pleasing to listen to. His techniques enhance what his fellow band mates are singing or rapping about. The fact that he raps perfectly in sync and in harmony with a rapper is extraordinary and thrilling. Perfect pitch is quite rare and this adds to his fundamental knowledge of music theory. This is the foundation of being able to write the correct structure of a song that will let the vocalists and rappers shine. This is true of all the members, except that they even say that Jungkook’s musical abilities are the best they have ever heard. All the members and many producers and industry insiders view Jungkook this way. As a vocalist I’m so impressed by his musical abilities. It’s hearing a genius way of both interpreting and delivering a vocal performance every time that can move the heart. I’m a BTS Army for life and I Stan all 7, but Jungkook’s abilities are on a heavenly level. Borahe to all my fellow armies.

I’m so glad people really grasp that jungkook is a legit genius and at the very least prodigy…. His natural understanding of music is so special… especially when it comes to singing.. but it reminds me of how he said that at the silk sonic concert everyone else was singing and vibing and that he closed his eyes and was trying to picture what the music would look like in paper…. But he struggled.. which just made him want to listen to them more and absorb more from them… it’s very similar to how he is self taught… bc he hears things in music not everyone does…. But his perfect pitch helps him be able to almost mimic other singers and sounds.. and through this he just expands even farther into his abilities and his hunger for knowledge and growth just fuels that in him. That’s partially bc he’s so good with science… part of his brain that has to understand how everything works… blended together and you have this genius prodigy… or as rolling stone called him “a young genius polymath” and I think they’re spot on!!!

He knows how to mould his voice according to the genre. What always amazes me is how the different parts of JK’s range, lower, mid & upper vocals are well-developed. Both in studio, in live. The stunning way he uses them with such ease based on what kind of sound & quality he desires for the song. More breathier quality for more romantic songs or adding a bit of crisp to heavier ones from rock genres, that mystique sound he created for SWY etc. Anything to deliver the emotional explanation for the song perfectly cause he understands them so well. He’s one of a kind.

Watching and listening to Jungkook live is almost surreal experience - he is THAT good. It is not just one single thing that would make him special, he owns a crazy large tool box that he uses skillfully, wisely and with enormous respect to others and their vocal qualities in the group. Putting it simply, with such magnificent tonal quality to his voice, mastery of many genres, superior resonance and extraordinary technique he could easily bulldoze over the others to make himself stand out but he never does that. It is so damn tempting and easy to let one´s ego lose but his humility and ultimate professionalism shows something totally else - a humble, generous, sharing and giving artist that gives always more than takes, loves more than asks for.... Jungkook is out of this world in way more aspects than just music. Loving him to bits :-)

Jungkook's vocal abilities and talents are priceless gifts for producers and listeners. Many people who have worked alongside him have expressed their appreciation and nothing but praises and kind words. He makes life easier for producers and crew because of his work ethics. Jungkook's the greatest yes i can listen jk singing for the rest of my life the fact that jk didn't take much Vocal training he said i start to lose my styl so i stop for vocal lessons and i start to sing every chance🔥💯 and he say i can sing any type of song and i can pull off accorning to the Vibe of songs in his BE behind interview❤ Jk is gifted and things are easy for him to do but he works hard and he practice day and night🙏💗

He's the soul, thee sound of all bts songs. He's always present there almost throughout songs as bg/supportive vocal for Rest of the members dominating vocal part specially mostly in vocal members part While also doing his own main parts (At times even layering up different vocal tone & notes of himself to self harmonize in his part, like Magic shop that he produced). He's kinda like leader in their vocal (singing,rap) department when it comes to lead or manage vocally, As main vocal he have to take responsibility for the whole song overall rather than just his parts solely & also the reason why he's the one to spend most time in studio during comebacks or recordings aka use to arrive early than others while left in very last after others already gone by just working on their specific parts.

Silly heads. Words can´t describe how intricate his vocal layering and ad libs are and how smooth they sound. He has an innate ability to understand various angles of musical composition presented to them and that translates into his astoundingly precise and tasteful vocal execution. Such trait can´t be taught, it can´t be practiced, it can´t be copied or faked - you have to be born with it. You either have it or you don´t.

This was such a lovely lovely compilation. Our golden Maknae’s talents are really astonishing. I hope we never become complacent about his talents. So often people don’t mention him in a performance cause they are used to the perfection he delivers vocally. (Not to mention his dance performance) The way I would describe his voice is: Like crystal clear water babbling in a mountainside brook. It changes course as it goes over rocks and through its course. Same as he adapts his voice to other members to compliment them. The performance you asked about is the song Earth Traveller that they preformed alongside other artists during the 2019 KBS song festival (an end of year award show). Thanks for your reaction Shiki. Shiki!!! So nice to see your videos again!!!! I’ve been gone for so so long!!!! How I’ve missed your face!!! Wow your channel has grown so much!!!! I’m so happy for you!!! Yeh I don’t think ppl realize how difficult it is to come up with adlibs especially that aren’t just doubling adlibs… which can still be really very cool too… but jk comes up with insane adlibs that are just very special sounding imo… same with his harmonies and I love how like that improv doubled rap part from the tiny desk concert with jhope is even more crazy bc I don’t think I’ve seen someone react to tiny desk and not rewind that part again bc it is perfect and really added a nice layer for the stripped down band version of save me!!!! And to think that was just thought of on the spot and handled with ease is crazy. Maybe that’s a bad example bc that was hobi who asked him to do that lol but like okay thinking about in the soop and the theme song…. So we all know each vocalist and rapper is extremely talent and ring something so special always… but think about the little adlib battle I think yoongi or rm called it… and hear you have four amazing vocalists and three rappers who creatively are geniuses… legitimately….. but then also think about their adlibs there on the spot and you know kinda just for fun…. And then think of jungkooks random adlib sitting outside the booth on a chair just vibing… but instantly everyone told him to get in the booth… bc his vocal run adlib he did was insane … the level of complexity of his runs and then the additional growly part he uses bc suga wanted “soulful,” and his adlib definitely sounded like the definition of soul music lol like they’re all incredibly creative and musically intelligent.. but his adlibs compared to the others just were so much more technically difficult but perfect as well in such a short span of time. The others were adding random “yeah yeahs” or “oh baby’s,” or just trying to be funny with rms “turn up” and stuff like that… like totally cute and creative for this project… but comparing how jungkooks brain works when it comes to adlibs and harmonies is just crazy. They all have their special areas of BTS that they are kinda in charge of or command… and jk def takes his role seriously… and he was def born for this.. just like they all were and it makes them so special
