Efren - You mentioned that the French couple were doing a lot of camping? (and that's cheaper) I've read a lot of comments talking about how "camping is illegal in most places" and that you can only camp in authorized areas (which you hardly ever see ). What's the truth?

As with most things, there's often a difference between what people discuss online and the reality on the ground. While it's true that stealth or wild camping is technically illegal, I noticed plenty of Henros doing it during my journey. From those I spoke with, I didn't hear any negative feedback about their experiences. Personally, I didn't carry a tent and didn’t feel it was necessary unless minimizing costs is your absolute top priority.
