Date: 22nd to 17th July 2024
Beyond the realm of conceptual education called power of experiential learning involving all the stakeholders & Community leaders, celebrating 4th Anniversary of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Day wise activities in nuts shell: Involving students, teachers, SMC & Community Leaders
Day-1:- 22nd July 2024: Conduct of TLMs Mela / Exhibition in the school under SHIKSHA Saptah 2024 followed by ECCE/Pre-Primary creativity with TLMs DIY activity. Activity i/c: M. Abeni Murry.
Day-2: 23rd July 2024
1. Brief introduction, Awareness Sessions on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and conduct of Singing practice of State NIPUN Bharat mission theme song, involving school music teacher, Local community, Old Ralan Student’s Union, students and Teachers.
Day-3: 24th July 2024
1. SHIKSHA SAPTAH 2024 (Sports Day) Day-3-The school organized sports activities in the village community play ground Old Ralan Village including competitive games, fun sporting and indigenous sports. (Categories Sr. & Jr. boys and Girls))
Day-4: 25th July 2024
PM SHRI GMS Old Ralan organized cultural activities celebrating our rich cultural diversity in the school. Students have worn traditional attires and were excited to witness the occasion highlighting folk songs, folk dance and folk tales. Resource person were invited from the local community.
Day-5: 26th July 2024
1. Conducted Field trip to nearby paddy fields to enable students to experience and understand agriculture cycles, practice of multiple cropping in the field. Activity teacher in-charge Smt. Y. Lobilo Tungoe, Hindi.
2. PM SHRI GMS Old Ralan Conducts Making of clay models activity (DIY activity)- involving teachers and local community as facilitators. (Age appropriate)
This activity will:- a) Boost Creativity c) Develop fine motor skills
d) Problem solving skills e) Develop eye-hand coordination
Day-6 & 7: 27th Combine activities July 2024
1. Youth and Eco-club of the school organized Plantation Drive by planting fruit trees, ornamental trees and flowers to create awareness on conservation and awareness on environmental issues led by Chairman, SMC, School Leaders, Zajamo Patton, SMC & Bonathung Ezung, Village council Chairman.
2. Conduct of awareness on harmful effects of junk food and promote healthy eating habits. Difference between junk foods and organic vegetables / fruits. The resource person Mr. Epithung Patton, President, Old Ralan Students’ Union explains and encourages the participants to compost food waste at home, maintain Kitchen garden or Terrace garden at home, school or offices. He further encouraged the participants to reduce food wastage and adding Seasonal fruits & Vegetables as an important balanced diet. Prefer locally available and seasonal foods.
3. Invited community leaders to share a meal:- (Tithi Bhojan Menu) Preparation of Mid-Day-Meal in the school by inviting SMC members and community leaders to share the special meal with students. The SMCs, teachers and the local communities have contributed organic vegetables from their fields and gardens and prepared the very particular meal for the students on 27th July 2024. Activity in-charge: M. Abeni Murry & Zajamo Patton.
