Shilo

Cover version of Neil Diamond's second recording of Shilo - the one on MCA with The Wrecking Crew playing Lee Holdridge's arrangement. I had lifted the string parts years ago so I thought I'd make some use of them. The bass part is also a lift of Joe Osborn's original bass part. I recorded this bass track using a 2013 G&L MJ-4, neck pickup only, strung with La Bella flatwound strings. The electric guitar used was a G&L Tribute Series Legacy. I more or less recreated the guitars, piano and drums as closely as possible with the exception of the odd drum fill. Warren Beesley sang the vocal for me.
