Been considering buying CQBFS off someone used for about same price as new off digitaka. Even though new one is probably coming out in Feb(since this 2017 edition is out of production), do you think it’s worth buying used off someone?

Hmm I don't know. Because I've never bought used reel from someone. But yeah this reel is very strong and it has good durability. If you cannot find new one I guess buying used one is only choice for you or wait for next Gen cq bfs.
