Shimano Dynamo hub and LED head light cheap 700C road bike

I wanted to add a dynamo hub and an LED headlight to the front wheel of my bike. I detached all spokes from the original front wheel and moved them to a new one, while having a little hassle to connect the light to the hub. A similar one here: amzn.to/3n8qI8B NOTE that for actual cycling performance, choose a light that fits the requirement of a hub. The light shown in the video is for only up to 0.9W.

I bought a city bike and I'm watching this to know if my hub is a dynamo hub because I think it's too fat to be a normal hub and there's a place where I think, wires can be installed.

i think the number of spoke holes (32H/36H), the diameter, shape of connectors, and wattage would be something you may want to consider for fitness with your existing wheel and devices you would connect (check compatibility). In my case I had incompatibility of connector shapes.

Without experience, trueing the wheel is difficult and time-consuming. What will take you half a day, an experienced person can do in 45 minutes.

What would you say is the gauge of the lamp wires?

The closest one would be here - see page 13: si.shimano.com/pdfs/dm/DM-CALP001-02-ENG.pdf The light is a small one, and this dynamo hub can generate some more power than the light allows. Don't overpower .. For a simple/quick testing with low wheel rotation, it will just work. I connect a couple of other gadgets that will split current when I actually go cycling - so far they working fine.

@@MapleBaseGarage I ordered a 22 AWG just a few weeks ago. And it seems to be the right one (as said in that doc you posted). I've already run a few miles with the thing, no problem whatsoever. imgur.com/a/kqbqzbt Dynamo wire is at the bottom, bought wire at the top (with it's packaging on the background).
