I got these shoes on your recommendation but I set my cleats as far back as I can get them, which necessitates moving the mounting hardware towards the heel. These can be pretty sticky so I found I had to put mounting bolts into the holes then push the bolts into the mounts to break them loose from the shoe. Then I could move the cleat back where I wanted it. I first tried just tapping the cleat backward but that didn't work so I ended up breaking the mounting bolts loose.
