Just ordered mine yesterday Stella SW 14000xg and I’m wondering what line you hand in yours and how many years? I’m thinking about ordering shimano Ocea 8 pe 3 (58lbs) 400yrds for topwatet, poppers, and plugs? Any pointers or suggestions?

Hi..I'm using Shimano ocea PE8 for my stella 14K. Over 2 years i use until now. If you want to casting for big game, i suggest use PE5-8 for stella.

@@bluesharkfishing7046 how many yards/meters of the Ocea 8 pe5 can you fit in the 14000xg? I’m located in the Texas US coast so I’m targeting black fin and yellow fin in the 20-40lb range. There are 60-80 lb out here but kinda rare where I go. You think the pe3 is okay forc what I’m targeting?

@@AntonioGomez-lt7ep if you use Ocea pe5 over 300m. You can use Ocea pe6 for fit in 14000 because Ocea 8X 300m only.

I'm using both. Stella and Saltiga have advantages and disadvantages of each. One thing i can say, saltiga have powerful drag.

he uses 14000 reel because the size of the rope he uses is large. and you don't know what you will get in the sea, it could be when you are fishing with a small reel and your bait is eaten by a big GT fish that weighs more than 40 kg you can't do anything

I have a Stella 14000 XG and it’s a great reel for this application. The gear ratio allows and line retrieve allows you to work top water lures with less fatigue.
