Brilliant reels there’s six in my collection (200-300) smooth as, low cost, Barra fish all day and not one problem. Hats off SHIMANO, you’ve killed it with this one.

Where did you find that 6.2? I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find it. I need one for deep crank baits

Can we skip cast and pitch with tranx 300 ? I usually uses 10g to 20 g soft plastics... Can tranx handle such low weight shads and lures ?

Good review, Would the 200 handle swimbaits that weigh up to 100 grams, fishing for Murray cod? Or would I be better with the 300?
@ShimanoAustralia3 жыл бұрын
All comes down to the rod you're using for that one! The reels will handle a heavy lure, but the rod is what determines the size and weight you can throw. Hope this helps!

@@ShimanoAustralia But to get max distains you need to match your lure weight up to a spool that your lure weight can spin the spool up to high rpms.

trying to decide between the 200 and the 300. whats the lightest lure would you use for the 300?
@ShimanoAustralia3 жыл бұрын
It's hard to say without knowing what rod you'd pair it with as this is such a major factor. For example, if it's a heavy stickbaiting rod, light lures won't work, but if it's a lighter baitcast rod, you could get away with about 10-15g lures. Really depends on the rod.

Which Tranx would be best for slow jigging 100-150grams up to 80metres depth. Been watching your videos again and again . Most enlightening.

Hi Just Hunt, comes down to what rod it'll be paired with and the lb line you fish with but the Tranx 400 would be your best bet.

The Tranx is a great reel, but it can backlash on you. KASTKING has found a way to end backlash forever with their patented AMD spool control system. It automatically breaks on spool over run and prevents backlash! Every company will be after this new tech. KASTKING is king now with their new reels. If they make a musky reel to compete with Shimano, Shimano will lose market share. All the big names will be buying into the KASTKING AMD system for their own reels. Innovation is the key to success and domination in the market place! The new KASTKING MEGAJAWS reel has this new tech. No thumb control is needed. Just cast and relax. Finally someone has conquered backlash!
