I think Dave has swayed me to buy a new Shimano reel for my beach fishing. I didn’t realize their quality until watching the other vids. And to think I was almost gonna buy a Penn 😂

I have those I bought new, back in 1996. Always cleaned and oiled. I always use them as well. It can be done. One must want to take care of things.

Hi Dave, recently purchased one these reels mounted on an older ugly stik. It’s a Shimano speed master Triton with the fighting star brake TSM100FS and still has the medallion on the side. Are these reels considered a “bait caster” style reel? Thank you
