can u oil the line roller since there is x protect. can oil get in? will oil affect hydrophobic coating?

No carbon drag on the lower sizes. But, I bought it on eBay for 10 bucks. Also I added extra high end ball bearing to it. I have the 2500. I wish it had the water proof drag. Which the Stadic and the Vanford have. I have to agree with you. Best bang for your buck. And the color theme in this reel is Fly AF!

Does the spool make a small clicking noise as you turn the handle? Mine makes a few slight click when the spool rises as I turn the handle. Let me know now if yours is the same. Thanks!

Hey, great video. Thank you. Today I got Ultegra C3000HG (2021 version). Is it normal to feel micro movement in the reels handle at the rate every 2nd circle it travels a circle? Or is that a reel defect and i should replace with another Ultegra reel? Hope for your reply, cheers.

I would say send it into Shimano, no shimano product should have any play in the reeling

I don’t even think its a competition! Ultegra all the way! A daiwa reel that comes close is the Procyon and its close to 35$ more expensive and in my personal opinion the ultegra still remains smoother and I believe its lighter as well.

Depending on your usage the stradic still might have a place in your arsenal but the ultegra is definitely underrated

Great reel. Been using for months with G. Loomis e6x rods for surf and it's great match. I changed the felts to carbon washer and it's great even smoother reel.

If you would’ve gotten one of the larger sizes they come with the cross carbon drag system! But your fix was really smart 👍🏼

@@FishingOD_OFFICIAL Thank you for the video. Many will love this reel. I also added bearings to replace the plastic ones and washers in a few places to remove the tiny play in the reel. Doing so makes it super. Also changed the handle for full aluminum dual bearing. Way better. 😉

Does that reel come in a long cast model too or is it available only in the larger surf sizes? I tried looking at the 4000 and 5000 sizes for long cast model, but can't find any being listed for those sizes. In my opinion it is pretty subtle. Not as subtle as some others but it’s definitely not loud. There are many videos on my channel where you hear it.
