I love it. Kanayo-Amakaa is a merry and whimsical dance about a young man and maiden who have fallen in love. They meet secretly at the river, where they play and dance, expressing their feelings of joy and happiness of being together. Their romance parallels a mythical story about a young couple in love who meets once a year at a river formed by the stars called Amakawa. Their deep love for each other is said to be infinite as the depth of the Amakawa River. The lively rhythmical music enhances the theme of young love and makes this folk dance a favorite among many.
