The thing with cancels is that you can often do them far sooner than you might think, Ayaka dashing during her charged attack is a good example. I don't have Hu Tao, but iirc she also has this, I think people also do it in order to generally not move around as much, as well as to make her end up at a point where her next attack hits multiple targets. This is also nice for Keqing, she can keep up with enemies that get knocked back better if you jump forward, though it's better to account for it with other means like freeze and walls if it's a consistent issue, sprinting works if her part of the rotation is short.

Generally speaking if you assume equal substats then 4pc CW should still be slightly better overall, however since the new artifact domain is so resin-efficient to farm in general, chances are you'll get a better Shimenawa set sooner or later anyway and in that case it'll most likely pull ahead

For the Millelith set on Zhongli, I learned that touching the enemy with your shield counts as "elemental skill dmg" I always made sure to place the pillar FAR away and pulling the enemy I was testing with in the opposite direction but my dmg was still increased. Since Hu Tao face plants the enemy with her charged attacks, it's like 100% up time on the attack buff so long as you have the shield on. Or maybe I was crazy.. idk 9:03 *And pressing E increases Hu Tao's atk remember! With enough hp she has the highest attack in the game.. You're not gonna use no E Hu Tao lol

Hey guys if you want shimenawa for hu tao but scared of burst uptime, then build atleast 130% er with out hurting your other stats. You're burst uptime won't be 100% all the time but you can atleast get 70-90% uptime. This is only based on my experience though.

Hey Moga, when you try to jump cancel hu tao's charge attack make sure not to hold any direction buttons. jumping on the spot makes it faster while a direction jump makes it slower. thats probably your mistake but idk

Good video! I just have to point something though. Most people do not use 2pc Tenacity on their Hu Tao but 4pc CWF. So while it may be an upgrade for your Hu Tao, a more interesting comparison, at least for me (and most likely for most people) would be Shimenawa vs CWF.

You can use a second pyro character such as amber for burst or bennett for skill + burst to overwrite xingqiu's hydro and put pyro on for kazuha/sucrose to pyro swirl.

Crimson witch compliments her pair up with Xinqiu amazingly when using the 4 piece set bonus, while the multiplier from the 2 piece bonus is a nice touch as well. I agree with her burst being less important for her overall DPS. It does great damage, but honestly it’s about 4 charged attacks worth

it's the EM. you're getting +12% vape bonus on your shimenawa subs compared to your CW/TotM set. the +50% 4 piece shimenawa bonus would still probably get you more damage per charged attack if you had equal HP/EM/CD/CR stats and no vapes, but only by a little bit and that is balanced since it costs you 15 energy per rotation.

When this set was introduced i misread it as "After using Elemental Burst you lose 15 energy for following effects" instead of what it actually was and i was so happy that they finally introduced a good dps set fo Xiao but was so disappointed after acknowledging what it actually is and how it makes already broken dps like Ganyu and HuTao more broken

6:07 it's kinda because you were checking the vape dmg, your elemental mastery almost doubled with shimenawa and it effects really much. if you want to be sure you should check it without no team buffs and elemental reactions. and for your casual hutao, she has 2 tenacity and you still use hp sands on her, em would be waaay better i really want you to try it :> but still this vid made me consider shimenawa on my hutao since i have 4 crimson but they are not that good since i gave up on farming (she still hits like a truck btw)

ive tested both with very similar stats. Basically, 4pc crimson boosts all of hu tao's damage, but when it comes to just charged attack gameplay, shimenawa wins. Though, I would still highly recommend 4pc crimson. The damage gains from shimenawa just isnt enough to cover the loss from blood blossom and burst damage. I also wouldn't recommend 4pc shimenawa for non C1 hu taos

@@lors8400 yeah i was wondering it will nerf her ult damage and the lost of energy too. Especially after hutao's end cycle people usually use ult so there's no energy left which makes shimenawa kinda meh for me. I love her nuking so I'll go back to farming cw again

4p crimson is better but it's such a bitch to farm. If you don't already have one I'd recommend going shimenawa just because emblem is insanely good and that allows you to farm for more than just Hu Tao. But that's personal preference

I'm gonna build hu tao As Pyro instead of vaporize but obviously with substats I'm gonna get em and I always use waterboy so em substats won't hurt but she'll mainly be used as Pyro hu tao

I'm no expert here but I'm a yanfei main at AR 44 and yes, the set is okay for her. I focus more on her charged attacks and I hit 31k crit at AR 44 with no proper stats. But it does affect the uptime of yanfei's burst, especially since it needs 80 energy

@@britthau yeah I maxed all my artifacts. I got lucky with the shimenawa domain and got crit rate 50% and crit damage 140% plus a pyro cup even tho it's hard to farm until AR 45 😂. The best thing is that the domain is so easy to farm with yanfei

In my opinion it is most definitely an overall increase to Hutao’s DPS Output. Also if you want to use Kazuha with Hutao then you need to run a second Pyro Character to apply the initial Pyro to enemies before swirling with Kazuha. What I do is run Hutao + Yoimiya + Xingqiu + Kazuha. Yoimiya and Hutao both have periods of cooldown and so can be alternated as main dps and Yoimiya can apply Pyro for Swirl. Also Yoimiya excels in 1v1 whereas Hutao is better for groups; So they have their uses together.

Gave my Hu Tao an r5 dragons bane and a lot of em and 4 crimson and 50k vape charged atks isn't bad for a f2p. Maybe try a full/mostly elemental mastery build? Xingqiu works as a godly support that way and it can do some big dmg

I tested 3 sets and figured out 4 piece crimson is the best for me because with your 2p millelith set and 2p crimson or 4p shimenawa set my charge attacks do around 30k but when I switch to 4 piece crimson every time I do around 40 k. The stats on these sets are all almost the same with the difference of around 1-3% either on crit rate or damage
