Which is weird. Yes, you fight shiva, but he’s never portrayed as evil. I could see people being mad if they portrayed him out of character in a negative way, but the game literally calls him a “benevolent god.” Only reason you fight him is for ideological reasons

Shiva was the chillest dude with one of the best themes and the hardest boss in the game, also one of the best team members you could wish for so Hindus got some good representation here i say. But then again we also had complaints about Krishna in smt 4 apocalypse

You need compendium of 75% first, then talk to her. You need 2 full NG+ if you want 100% compendium.

So, you need to get the Seed of Life key item from Sophia after getting 75% of the Demon Compendium filled up. Then, you talk to Maria. Depending on which route you are on, Maria will turn into a different mother goddess for you to fight.

Maria here is more of a concept, depending of what route you are she will either, stay in her original form (Law), become Danu (Neutral) or Inanna (Chaos)

Receive the Seed of Life by filling your Compendium to at least 75%. Then choose the Law ending. (I recommend going full Law throughout the story before choosing the Law ending.)

@@hungry_l this. In Japan all spirits/demons/gods/etc are the same type of beings and are all referred to as kami, the closest word in English would be demon so in the English version of the games all beings are simply referred to as demons.
