I remember this game was so unique when it first came out on the Japanese Sega Saturn. The story was unlike anything else, and there was this cool, adult vibe in a darker setting. Basically the player died just a few minutes into the game and when in hell the soul was misplaced in the wrong body, and returned to the living world as a devil summoner detective. I like anime style modern Persona games, but hope Atlus can keep the darker Devil Summoner series going.

Devil Summoner should've become a bigger SMT sub-series like Persona.

@@ikagura Hell yeah. I played Persona 4 for the first time not long ago and that introduced me to SMT at large. I love Soul Hackers and it's cool it's getting a sequel but, it's prolly not gonna have the same feel as the first game and Devil Summoner. Still should be awesome though.

There was devil summoner saturn footage prior to this video. The thing is that the videos were titled in japanese. I found them while stumbling through smt 1 and 2 gameplay. Theres footage dating back to 2007.

if i'm not mistaken, the game's script has already been translated. A good SS or PSP hacker is needed to finish the fan translation off.

If I worked at atlas I would make the decision of doing a rerelease of this game, and ironing out all the flaws and release it in a collection with all of the other devil summoner games

@@xmaverickhunterkx This is the game BEFORE Soul Hackers for the 3DS. Never received an official translation. Though I love Soul Hackers, I wish this one would ALSO get the treatment that it did.

For some reason I love the normal battle theme so, SO much. Way better than Soul Hackers' battle theme, though I do love the Vision Quest battle themes in that game. I hate that there's no English translation for this, I want it so freaking bad.

well work started on a fan patch in the time between me writing this comment and now, so ill just wait for that. i prefer a fan patch to an official remaster honestly after they changed stuff to "modernize" soul hackers and take away its 1990's spirit
