The opening song of one of my favorite games ever. Digital Devil Saga is one of the greatest JRPG I've ever played. I love this opening song so much, Shoji Meguro should do more Pop songs infused with some techno, it makes the song more catchy. The memories of playing this game:') The techno soundtrack in this game was so on point. Serph is one of my favorite SMT character.

when I finished this game my serph literally was immune to almost every kind of magic, physical attack, and status attack in the game. Pretty much coasted through on my second playthrough. best thing we that you didn't even have to cheat to accomplish these things.

Digital Devil Saga 2 was made with the premise that you've played the first DDS. If you leap right into this one you'll miss alot of character development from the cast of the first game, and the key elements of the plot of why Serph's tribe is fighting.

If you are meaning Persona as in Persona 3, Digital Devil Saga came out first. (Persona 3 first release in 2006 while DDS in 2004) However, if your asking about the First of the Persona series, Relevations: Persona, Persona first came out, for it was first released in 1996 for the PlayStation.

If you like classics, you could try the original "Megami Tensei" for the Famicom and Super Famicom,, and, if you like MMORPGs, theres "Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE" for the PC, i never tried it since my pc is too old for it, but it looks cool.
