I just realized something: the narrator says "Tokyo died, and I was born". Which isn't exactly wrong, but in the game, Tokyo actually does a better job of surviving than the rest of the world - at least there are some buildings and ground left, and the half-dozen people who survive the Conception are ALL in Tokyo.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who wants a remake of this game or a direct sequel? How would even do a direct sequel if there's no defined canon ending that's simple really. I have an idea for such a sequel, make parallel timelines a part of the narrative. Basically Demi-Fiend who chose to restore the world is the ending that set up the events of the new game but at one point you actually get to fight True Demon Ending Demi-Fiend. I'd have this sequel star a new protagonist and have it take place in a different city than Toyko. I'm thinking New York since they're both masive cities. It would be insane and trufuly I think Atlus needs to revisit this game's or the stuff that the first game and devil survivor focused on (how things slowly fell apart instead of all ready starting in an apcolipce) with their next main Shin Megami Tensei after SMT IV Final / Apcolipce.
