the hair of the nahobino is like a flowing river... my god it was in our faces the whole time

It's very important to note that a lot of these connections megaten makes of Baal is very much inspired by European Grimoires which I believe many of Atlus Staff were infatuated with. So the demonizations Atlus mentions are not just from Antiquity but also from the last 400 years. The games use Hadad as shorthand because the grimoires did.

I was debating covering this actually, but I had to cut some of the info to make a tighter script. There's a good amount of other Susano'o references across the game, skills especially.

@@KidCapesSir, I have a question. How does the alignment or even Law make sense within the series? If all we see is an atheist faction disrespectfully using religion as a cover to be more anti-religious than literal Lucifer, then what is the point? Like, how would anyone choose an alignment like that when Neutral offers the same, but without genocide or fake faith.
@KidCapes3 ай бұрын
@onetruesavior69 That mostly depends on your own opinions, but I do think ATLUS tries to have it's cake and eat it too with depicting alignments as all being valid. It's not like you have to agree with ATLUS's view on these topics in the first place though.

Very insightful! Thanks!! At first i hated this mc design, but given the context that his hair is like flowing water, i can appreciate how game design mingles with narrative!!

I can’t wait to buy the game and not preorder for a okay box cover or support a persona 5 royale esque buisness practice (it’s okay to do it, I’m just salty for buying a game again and not be a dlc)

Hey I'm curious, how did you learn so much about history and theology? I'd like to start learning this stuff but I'm not sure where to start, and it seems like you know a lot on these subjects.
@KidCapes3 ай бұрын
The key is finding a niche. You can't expect to have a meaningful depth of knowledge if you don't have some sort of specific topic of interest. So I'd advise you to pick something you're interested in and get familiar with that. Also make sure the sources you're using are trustworthy (don't trust random self-published books or esoteric websites) and don't be afraid to read scholarly articles (you can find them for free on jstor and academia.edu). Hope this works out for you!
@kurama80373 ай бұрын
@@KidCapes I've never heard of these resources before. Thanks, I'll definitely start using them! Also when you mean esoteric websites do you have a loose example of one? Just to know what to look out for y'know?
@KidCapes3 ай бұрын
I don't really have an example offhand (and I don't really want to put someone on the spot tbh), but generally you just don't want to use a site that you can't verify wasn't made by a field expert (a professor or someone who has published peer reviewed articles) if they aren't sourcing their work. Also, a good test is googling the text in sites, because a lot of people will just plagiarize wikipedia.
@kurama80373 ай бұрын
@@KidCapes Ok, I see now. Just watch out for people copying or making stuff up without showing you where they got it from. And make sure it's it was peer reviewed or made by someone who knows the topic well. Got it! Thanks for the help!

No without Religion there would be better morals not less.
@KidCapes3 ай бұрын
You misunderstand, the point being made was not that morals are inherently tied to religion. It's that the ones predominant in society are, so the goal is to transcend those essentially.
@NicoEntertainment3 ай бұрын
@@KidCapes morals like democracy were fought for against the will of religion. Lucifer is a metaphorical representation of that. Yahweh stands for values like child murder.
