You may not know: The name "Miles Prower" is a play on the pronunciation of "miles per hour" by the producers, and also refers to Sonic's famous supersonic speed. He is an 8-year-old fox with two tails (which is where his nickname "Tails" comes from). He is known as Sonic's childhood friend, and is a master mechanic. He uses his two tails to fly around for a certain amount of time. He first appeared in Sonic the hedgehog 2 with the 8-bit version on October 16, 1992, followed by the 16-bit version released in November of the same year.
