I often see that people dont like Kanade's solo bc it lacks "feeling". I feel like it's the total opposite. While MafuMafu's ver is really loud and almost like if he was crying, Kanade's ver. sounds like she's done living, has been suffering for a really long time and doesn't want it anymore. In my opinion the soothing voice gives this more anguish feeling

I definitely agree, the gasps add so much more emotion to it and makes it sound desperate and comparing it to Mafumafu’s, who sounds like he’s fully given up with life and is just screaming about his pain, Kanade’s still has that pain _and_ hope left with the way she sings. God I love Tomoriru and Kanade, she did this song justice!

I used to not love this cover. However, relistening to it made me realize that you don't have to scream in singing. Just singing with emotional conviction is enough to make a song still feel emotional. Kanade is a soft spoken character, and also has a struggle between living and disappearing. To have her sing this is the right call, as it proves that even soft singers can show power in their voices through conveying the song's feelings right. I really love the nature of this cover standing out with its melancholic touch.

Yeah cause all mental illness struggles can be summed up to an emotion like screaming 💀 - this version far surpasses any other version of this song for me it perfectly encompasses how I feel about life and my own struggles with mental health. Her voice actor isn't bad. The voice is just to fit the character. Kanade is very tired easily because she barely leaves her house so to reflect that, the VA makes herself sound soft and like she's out of breathe because realistically someone who barely goes outside and fails to take care of themselves wouldn't have top tier vocals
