Even if you spend a lot they will keep introducing new features to allow the top spenders to dominate the players who can't keep up.

I migrated from high seed A to seed D kingdom and it's the best decision I've ever made in this game. The kvk is more enjoyable especially for low spender/F2P.

I started playing Rok in 2019 and it was an amazing experience, not knowing and not understanding anything was amazing, I played f2p for 2 years and I realized how time-consuming and unfair this game is for those who didnt spend money on the game and only in the summer of this year I started playing again and I already feel that it is more of an obligation than fun why im playing it. How fun would it be if only would there be a game that is f2p and has similar features as rok, it would be worth the grind lol

You're right. Things have changed for the worse. The toxicity is awful. The idea of getting zeroed because you need to have your life is ridiculous. They could save the game maybe if they no longer allowed attacking of people in your own kingdom. They need to fix the migration as well. It's a mess. The one thing I was thinking the other day is that the socialization makes this game, but it also will be what destroys it. One more thing to consider is with the social aspect, when one person quits all their "friends" may quit too. It becomes a snowball and the game dies. I've mentioned it before, but Mobile Strike and Game of War were just as big back in the day. This game has done a really good job though in lasting as long as it has, but like any other game, it has a shelf life. I'm going to check out Era of Conquest. I really like this style of game and it seems like you are having a good time enjoying it.

I've been playing the game for 2 years and haven't missed one day even when I was sick I still logged in. I took a well needed break, 2 weeks now I'm facing getting zeroed or getting kick out of the kingdom, Loyalty has no value. Also just tired of being behind, $5,000 and still behind. I quit ROK about a week ago. No matter hard you try, you'll never catch up, without spending. Even getting to where you're relevant takes years, without spending. It's not worth the amount of time and effort you invest. Above all, it's a stats game, specifically kp stats. It's a dirty little secret that those stats are directly tied into the amount of $ you put into the game. I really like the concept of a kvk: taking over territory/enemy alliance buildings, dominating the map. Its pvp so anything can happen; true warfare. It's the only reason I ever played ROK. How are the kvks in EOC? Crystal tech is theft, btw

@@Shinchi42 about 300 days. I got frustrated, quit for a month, came back for about 2 months, and just quit, right before 2nd soc kvk. I was about 4 months away from t5, because of castle. I accepted this; I made it to vip14, but he gear is what did me. I had only then just got my 2nd gold piece, on my first march. They're too stingy with the prints. I never even cared about being super strong, I just don't like getting melted. The update was going to make that worse. Was going to wait and check out the smithy deals, but knowing Lilith, that was just another shameless cash grab. Like releasing a new commander every other day. I only spent a few hundred $ in rok, so I'm not a big spender. I am quite active though; I also try to be a team player. Definitely going to give EOC a shot. You know, my home kd didn't allow me in my first kvk because of low power. Probably should have taken the hint then: my own fault

@@Shinchi42 I've only played the game a few hours, but can tell they put some thought into this game. ROK is not even a strategy game compared to this one. A kvk type war in this game could be epic. Imagine being able to win a battle in different ways than just having the most people who've invested in their march. I really don't like following a "blueprint" to play a game. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Small mistakes can harm your later game. They came back and bit me on the @ss with ROK. Any videos you can make about this would probably help a lot out. Thanks

⁠interesting notes. I have spent thousands $ and even then every time I reach a top milestone, greedy lilith launches new system. Eg I got 1 cav and inf march full crit legendary and was ready to max Crystal tech in rough kvks but literally a month later lilith launched ARMAMENTS 😮. Back to getting melted again 😅. I got decent armaments and then they added "awaken iconic" system. Cause of my adhd, I might have to see counselling to help remove rok addiction 🥲. Gonna check out EoC

After a bit of thought I have decided to also quit my spending, and in the coming months if change does not happen I will most definitely be quiting. I have posted numerus things in the request channel, and also upvoted the ones which I believe would benefit the game, but day after day the changes never happen. I started playing in 2019 and after around a year and a half quit due to the game being so demanding and being a low spender, just being behind everyone at nearly all times. around 4 months ago I decided to make my return to find it nearly the exact same, even with the same events and rewards that I had left with, now with just more things you need to invest in. Now with armaments, the new equipment system and the "new" tier of legendries its really hard to catch up, and I really dont feel like doing it. I might stick around to play ark, since I actually have fun with that or other alliance events, but the game just does not feel like it has changed after nearly 2 whole years. Lilith isn't the only gaming studio going through this, people say this about every single sports franchise and even Call of Duty games, but the difference between ROK and these other game franchises is that ROK can change, its competitors have created better experience, hell even them themselves have, but it seems like the only thing Lilith cares about is the amount of money in their pockets rather than creating an engaging game for their players(edit: it seems like they know that they have created a better game, but they are using it so that ROK players quit ROK, go to COD, and now they received the money from both games, win win for them lose lose for the community) which might also help when it comes to bringing in more revenue, I mean more players = more spent is not a hard equation if you ask me. Im currently in the process of hopefully get some of my purchases refunded, but if I cant ill just eat the loss and continue on. Love you Shinchi, I remember watching you all the way back then.

I think rise of kingdom should implement kvk seed like aoo only selected players are counted in the seed pairing rather than forcing everyone to participate but everyone has real life jobs and family to attend to rather than spending your time building up power than get cast out or forced to quit the game because of kvk. Those who arent selected are not allowed to enter lost kingdom .

I quitted as well 7 months ago because of a big drama and stress. What i loved about the game was making my account grow, i had a pretty good set of equipments n heroes for open field, i was also close to 3b kp. I thought about coming back, but i saved already so much money from not playing this sht, Ngl, rok is the best game from "strategy and war" that i found, the others aren't able to catch up to it be in terms of design or actually playing by moving troops/attacking/taking back troops/etc. The thing is, even with all of that it is not worth playing rise as it takes too much time, stress and money. Yeah, you can consider me a "low tier whale" or more of a f2p if you compare to people who actually spends huge amounts of money to this sht, but even with the "small" amount of money that i was using to play this if you actually compare to f2p the difference is like heaven and earth. It was impossible for a f2p to catch up to me and even touch my troops as his troops would evaporate, so the conclusion is... this is not worth playing! EDIT: Lilith could let you inactivate your account, but what do they do? They make you wait 30-40 days for your account to disappear and you can't even log in or you will have to start from zero this count down. EDIT 2. I also deleted my troops haha and the reason for me to not selling my account was the chats that i had with some special people, yeah i am looking at you Lil P... also i am a jealous person, i don't like other people having things that belong to me haha.

What can you do in a KVK that when the first gate opens you see people already with 6 marches running around ??!! You know how much crystal tech you need to reach 6 marches, right?! I spent $500 on my account, and quit. It took lots but I used other games as distractions to help me quit. After 2 weeks, I just could not be bothered to log in anymore and it feels great. I think people struggle quitting after spending lots of money on the account, but realistically your just going to save more money by quitting as soon as possible. Lilith have made this game feel like a gambling game now. It could have been so much more if the developers added more f2p features to balance instead of trying to squeeze out as much money as possible, which is why I think they are pushing out all of these p2w features now to get as much money as possible before it dies.

I'm not arguing that he can't quit as a whale he has the right to, but he took 2-3 tickets in KvK 2, was highly inactive and left them stranded without good rally/garrisons. Feel free to quit or take a break, just don't do it after losing a KvK after you received special tickets.
