This is quite charming! It's innocent in the best sense - unpretentious, spontaneous, hopeful. Hard to imagine anything like this on a commercial platform like Spotify or mainstream radio these days (is radio still a thing??). It's too upbeat, and we are living in a decidedly downbeat moment (Aug 2024).

Both versions are good. This guy sings more tenderly, I guess, and with more softness in his voice. Noll's voice is more like the country he comes from: harsher, drier, flatter, more edge I suppose, for want of a better word. The Aussie version is less poppy, more hard rock - but that's what we do best in this country....hard rock!

I do like the bass line better on Noll's. But hey, Andy wrote it! I think he sings a hell of a lot better than Noll. That bass player in Noll's band is amazing though. Check out his bass lines sometime. Go Andy!
