I love your covers! Bas is a perfect guitarrist, and John has such emotion in his voice. You two together are perfect! sounds great as usual! i think it could be improved even more by a better balance between singing and guitar volume though, a song like this is very intense vocally so using one mic only i understand it's tricky... but maybe something for the future? separate mic's or an amp for the guitar, personally i think this song sounds best when the vocals are carried by the rhythm of the guitar. as for the performance, thumbs up!

How can Shinedown or any band do any cover song "better" than the original? You might prefer a cover version I guess but they wouldn't have a cover without the original. Music isn't about better or worse or right or wrong.. But credit should always be given to the original artist in my opinion? It's their song.... John and Bas, Your playing and singing are grunge at a very deep level. When I hear your voice, I often think of Pearl Jam and grunge in general. All of the grunge frontmans had to go trough very shit experiences and that only created their unique voice that touched other people so deeply. Its with your voice too. And I often think, is your voice deeper, rawer as Eddie Vedders Voice? And very often I affirm that. I think in a comment on one of your videos I read something about that experiences you had to face. But nothing very clear. Why I know that and can say it? I have surely gone trough some same megashit like you, and in my musictherapysessions my voice is becoming to unfold. I like that very much. Now to my questions... 1. Have you somewhere spoken about your shit experiences in some of your older videos? 2. Have you written songs? I think, you sure did. I did it and do it, and i helped me te most. I have not seen any in your channels, but i didnt look at all of your videos. 3. Can somone pls name me this typ of mikrophon? Probably the same model? Or can somone recommend me one like this, a good quality microphone, competent enough to transport all of the voice, at a price rang from 100-200 dollar? A microphone, to stand on the table or couch, without wire. I need one for my on recording and improvisations. And I think I prefer a omnidirectional pattern microphone. Thank you very very much guys, I dont know who is who from you, but to the singer: very very big respect for your massive strength and your immense power of endurance. You surely had to face immense shit. Thank you that you held on and didnt give up, when you where surely shortly before. I know that, because I was in similar situations like you. You transformed the shit you had to swallow into gold. You know that? I like that you make this song your own version. You are using your own words in the middle, and add lyrics to the song. Very good work. The more I give up copying 100% the original song, the more I shine trough the song. Probably you want to experiment with that more. And another thing i do since a short time... I dont hold to the original rythm of the song and the original structure of the lyrics. So i feel more freedom to express myself and less the pressure to come equal to the original. Because I dont want do copy, or perform a performance. I want to sing my own song and use the given song for that, but dont hold on to the bonds it gives, when you "perform" the song. And to the guitar player: very very good "work" from you. You support your friend like a real friend and like a real musictherapist. I wonder if you are his real musictherapist. If not, thanks for you supporting him this good, and if yes, cool and funny and very big thank too. This bonding thing I wrote earlier to your friend applies for rythm and the musical accompanist. Probably you want to experiment with that more. You do it already a little. I wish you good luck for your future and I know, your future will be becoming very bright and rewarding.
