Of course they can sing, especially Jonghyun and Onew. They're two of the best main vocalist in the whole KPop industry ever.

The video they played at the beginning of SHINee's "Replay" live performance, which was from their SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul from 2015, is literally the TV footage from SHINee's debut stage from 2008, and it was their first appearance on TV. SHINee's "Replay" isn't just nostalgic, it's legendary. Every new rookie group in the industry has covered "Replay" at least once in their career and it's one of those songs that is pretty much compulsory for everyone to know and learn, even still today. As the song says, 'Noona neomu yeppeo .... replay, replay, replay ...." In other words they are saying "pretty older woman I really like you and I think you like me too ... every time I see you I need a replay of the moment over and over again in my head." Noona neomu yeppeo is a Korean term that essentially means "Pretty older woman" Noona neomu yeppeo is a term that is only used by guys to describe a beautiful woman that is older than them. There really isn't a literal translation of the term so that is why the song is called "Replay" in English. But in Korean it is called "Noona neomu yeppeo." That's why if you watch SHINee on a lot of variety shows and TV programs, the older women in the show often ask SHINee to sing this song to them. As others have probably mentioned, "Replay" is literally considered one of the best debut songs of all time for any Kpop artist because it's so timeless and it never goes out of style or sounds outdated no matter how old it gets. And this is why SHINee are Icons. This song makes all the women swoon. SWC4 in Seoul is one of their most popular and most Iconic of SHINee's official concert DVDs and it, as well as their previous concert SWC3 in Seoul, will be where you get the majority of your live concert performance requests from. Every single one of their songs from this concert will be requested by your viewers multiple times. You should really check out the full concert. Because to really appreciate just how magnificent SHINee is live, you have to see a full concert from beginning to end. Only then, will you really understand why they are legends. :D SHINee's first concert tour was way back in 2010/2011. The concert where they performed "Reply" that you just watched was part of their 4th world tour, so at that time they had already held dozens of concerts. That is why they looked like seasoned veterans on stage. They are old pros at this point. "Replay" means so much to SHINee and Shawols that everyone was very emotional during this stage. If you pay attention to the audience, you will see the audience are all holding up signs. So that is why the members, and especially Jonghyun, started to cry. The signs had messages of love to SHINee. Jonghyun is known for having a very soft heart and he was always the first one to cry. And when Jonghyun started to cry that usually made Key also tear up, so they are the ones you will see cry the most at concerts and special moments. Those are not sad tears, they are happy tears because he is touched by the love of their fans. However, just look how well Jonghyun can still sing even while sobbing. Jonghyun is known as one of the BEST singers/songwriters in the industry and everyone considers him one of the best singers of all time. And, of course they were singing live. SHINee doesn't know how to do anything else. :D SHINee would have sounded exactly the same if they were dancing "Replay's"choreo full out. They chose not to dance the full choreography because they perform "Replay" at every concert and almost every live appearance they ever do. So fans know the dance like the back of our hand and we don't need to see it every time. So to switch it up they kind of just freestyled this performance. SHINee never performs their songs the same way twice either, so each concert performance you watch you will see something new even with the same songs. aww the little clip in the beginning is their interview before their first ever live stage performance of the song, and then it cuts to them (at the time) 7 years after... now its 14 .. time flies, and its all so touching **also there was a surprise fan event with the audiences all raising a banner with the slogan, which is a play on words using the numbers 525 (their debut date May 25) -- saying something like "lets stay like this together for a long time" -- hence the tears

Of all the kpop groups that I have had the opportunity to listen and see live... This group has unlimited resources... They are not limited to the vocal and rap line because they are all good vocalists, their discography is very varied and always setting trends, for me and what I have heard and seen this group deserves more recognition. Too bad that in these times talent is overshadowed by popularity.
