I have always had respect for SHINee but I have never had more respect for them than at this moment. It's amazing how they can be strong enough to go out and perform this song. But it was hard seeing Key around 1:19. He seemed to be holding back tears. And also at 3:48 when Onew said "You did well" and looked up like he was looking up at Jonghyun. I know the feeling. I have known about SHINee almost all of 2017 but only now became a fan of them. I wish I had given them a chance way sooner so I could have been there with all 5 of them. This performance and music video made the reality of Jonghyun's death hit hard. SHINee was my first ever kpop band that I listened to and followed closely. By listening to their music, they changed me into the person that I am today and also helped me open my eyes to the world of kpop. Once I heard of Jonghyun's sudden death, I was devastated. To know I would never see his glowing smile, hear his angelic voice, or even watch his genius mind write another song was one of the worst things to accept. I don't think I fully accepted the reality of his passing until this song was created. Seeing that lone microphone in the middle of the music video and seeing that clear empty spot in the middle of this performance, finally made me accept it all. I'm so proud of all of the SHINee members for coming back and staying strong. Please continue to inspire us all and I hope that Jonghyun really knows that he did well and was well loved. We miss you and hope you are in a better place now.

When Jonghyun passed, I was still getting into kpop, but I knew who SHINee was and I was heartbroken when I heard the news. I still wouldn’t call myself a shawol as I haven’t listened to SHINee as much as other bands, but I do miss Jonghyun terribly and almost cried watching the MV for this song. These boys are incredibly strong for going out there and performing this song. Onew’s “You did well” and glancing to the sky was what got me; I’m sure Jonghyun is listening to them from the sky. Today is the first time I can watch this live performance & also first time listen to the whole Story of Light album (after I bought it in Seoul 2018) I just kept the album for 4 years on my cabinet & scared to listen to it because I know I'll cry. Honestly, this is the best comeback stage ive watched ever! The vocals, visuals, staging, song and the fans. Every single thing is beautiful. Did you see the recent concert they gave and afterwords they addressed the audience, talking about Jonghyun and Key had to turn his back to the audience because he broke down crying. SHINee forever red, if I remember it right. They used these mics in their Tokyo dome concert. The mics are not just colored individually at the bottom, but are also labeled with their names

I think they did not really go with their colors though because Jonghyun's mic should have been the blue one and Minho's should be orange. Jonghyun's mic is red. Also, I think Taem changed the band color of his mic? It does not really look yellow or is it just me?

I love this. The way they can have their natural vocal talent shine for once, no light show, no fancy dance, nothing flashy outfit wise, fewer quick cuts. It's all so cut back and the song, the situation deserves this. I love how they can use this stage to work through their grief, to have the fans join them on this journey. Just a quick applause in the beginning to remind us these are idols, no fan chants either but a sea of pearl aqua. It works so well to empathise community... unity. This is beautiful. Breathtaking, mesmerising.

Oh how I agree! I just wish they were more often allowed to shine on their own -- with nothing literally flashing -- just their souls emerging through their glorious voices. There is a lyric talking about longing to take "precious" Jonghyun "in my arms" -- good lord, if I had to sing that about a young person with whom I basically grew into adulthood and with whom I had struggled and strived to build a dazzling career and with whom I shared living quarters and heartbreak and elation and whom I had lost through suicide -- well, I would have simply broken down sobbing. These guys are beyond admiration: I wish them everything good in life. They are soldiering through unimaginable loss.

that day has changed Shinee forever, and their audience as well. I don't know how I feel about this, but the happy carefree feeling I used to get is never to be found again, now I only ever get emotional and tearful when listening to them, and my chest hurts. I always thought of kpop as easy listening and relaxing, I never came here for the feels. I know Shinee members have to struggle with these mixed emotions the most, and I hope each of them finds a way that's the most meaningful for them to cope in the long run. that said, I was incredibly proud to see them come back from such a devastating blow, they gave us all strength

The stage is just so beautiful. At first sight of the thumbnail I was stunned. And Shawols surrounding them with shining pearl aqua fanlights and it reflected to the stage especially the silver stairs. Love those new mics, Minho oppa! Their vocals are flawless and Onew holding that note on 3:04-3:011 . I love that ep.3 is filled with ballads. SHINee Oppas, you did so well!
