Need a little pick-me-up on this SHINee World Wednesday? Well, Like A Fire ought to do it! At least it did for Tors1e. But the Mood Sampler - Fake Reality, that had a different impact... can we all say, what?!?!

As you may know, Minho's nickname is "Flaming Charisma" because of his intense passion for sports and his need to always win, so that's why at the beginning of this performance he said "Like a Fire" so intensely. :D It's a fun inside joke shared with Shawols meant to remind everyone that he is SHINee's fire and passion. Fun fact: If you look up the English translation of the lyrics to SHINee's "Like a Fire" you will see that the song is about their love being like the fire of a phoenix so that is why they flap their arms and the choreography looks like birds flying, etc. They are singing about having a love like the fire of a phoenix. The stage is supposed to be fun, lighthearted and more free flowing. This song is more about the vocals then the choreography. Onew rolling down the stairs is just something he did to be funny. I know he pretended to fall on purpose this time to be cute and funny, but in reality Onew is known for being clumsy and for tripping and falling down a lot, so he was just playing up his clumsy nature. :D Also if you know Onew, you know that one of his go to comedic moves is to roll on the floor, either log rolls or somersaults, etc. -- similar to what he does in their "Dream Girl" MV. LOL Onew is actually known for sometimes being uncoordinated and accident prone -- fans refer to his clumsiness as "Onew condition." Key's high note at the end of this performance is just so perfect. Something interesting to note, is that if you listen to the studio recording of the songon their album, Key doesn't even have a high note in the song, he just decided he wanted to add one in this performance, so he did. That's just Key's classic diva style. It's almost as if he wanted to try and outdo Jonghyun. And, just think, that note came from one of the group's rappers. It just goes to show you that SHINee truly is a group of many talents and they can really do it all.

The problem with Shinee I have is, when I've listened to their live version, their studio version pales in comparison. Coz they gobbled their CDs and spit fire on stage. This song is one of them. Everytime I listened to the studio version, I expected Key's belting at the end, and then remember, "oh that's the live version". Bummer! I'm one of those lucky international shawols who got to watch them live several times in my country. 1 full concert, 1 award show, 1 kpop festival kinda concerts where they performed 2 to 3 songs and 1 fansign event. Ahhh sweet memories. They were awesome!!!

SHINee World Concert (SWC) tours are such experiences. You’ll get intense, sexy, seductive section, then you’ll get their incredible heavenly ballads that touches your soul, before moving on to goofy, chaotic, fun side, and they might just throw in some charming gentlemen in suits theme all in one concert lol

Unfortunately like you, I haven't gotten the chance to attend any yet #internationalShawolproblems For the time being I just had to settle for their DVD versions which still is very much enjoyable and exciting. But I can't imagine how being there live would make me feel!

What a concert that must have been. Was anyone there? Jonghyun all hyped up. Onew rolling down the stairs. Key deciding to outdo Jonghyun with the high note towards the end. With reference to them flapping their arms like a bird like that - I read that they were imitating a phoenix, because the lyrics mention a phoenix rising "like a fire", lol. You said you just wanna give them a hug - that's me every time I watch them live, especially in their fun parts like this. Heck, it's not just me, it's EVERY Shawol, hahaha. Btw, I love your background wall with all those photos.

Theory: Clearly they're doing an x-files, twilight zone-esque vibe for this comeback. I'm assuming SHINee are alien hunters of some kind? And they've been called for a mission? Or maybe, they get abducted? DetectiveWols have already spotted clues in the newspaper Taemin was reading, and one of the teaser photos background, which have connections to real-life ufo sightings. I am loving this aesthetic, this vibe. So unqiue, so SHINee! Also, Like A Fire is one of my fave songs, like, in my top.....15 SHINee songs, possibly top 10, and this performance is everything. Just them dorking around being silly, and natural, but then, those vocals! Key literally comes out of nowhere with that falsetto for absolutely no reason (that's not part of the song), and killing it. Wholesome chaos, that's what I'd call it.
