The story in SHINee's "Kimi No Sei De" MV (which translates to mean "Because of You") is about a woman who died who was a very big SHINee fan (a Shawol), and her boyfriend attended SHINee's concert after she died to relive her memory and to feel closer to her spirit. He had bought the tickets as a surprise for her, but she died before they could attend the concert together. What you are seeing is a memory of her, she isn't really standing next to him at the concert. That is why he looks expressionless and sad. It was kind of a cool concept because it used concert footage to create an MV that has an actual storyline and plot. One of the reasons why the lyrics talk about "baby blue" is because SHINee's fan color is pearl aqua, so the blue in the song is referring to Shawols. In other words, if he had never met this amazing SHINee fan and fell in love with her, he would have never had to feel the pain of losing her, etc.

The story in Taemin's "Press Your Number" MV is supposed to be about Taemin struggling with his alter ego. He is battling himself. The guy with the gun who is committing the crimes is his -- or his character's -- inner demons, and when you see him tied up and regretting his actions that is supposed to be the good side of Taemin. That is also why at one point you see two Taemins in the car -- one sitting in front of the other -- ie who is in the driver seat? In other words, who is in control, good or evil? You see flashes of both the girl and Taemin tied up because it's supposed to be alternate realities or situations depending on which part of himself is in control. Being tied up and unable to speak is a metaphor for being trapped inside your mind by self-doubts and indecision, etc. You even see at one point that Taemin is supposed to be the store clerk and he is holding himself at gunpoint. Like pretty much everything Taemin does, it's all supposed to be a metaphor for life. How I interpret the blue rose is, it's supposed to signal the moment where things are not real -- these are moments where Taemin's character is battling with his mind to try and keep a grip on reality. The more roses, the further from reality he is, etc. Also, Blue flowers, when equated with a message, usually stand for love and inspiration, and when presenting someone with blue flowers you are telling them you will stay loyal and passionate about them. Plus, pearl aqua/blue/green, is SHINee's fan color so there are always blue images and blue colors in their MVs. Blue has a lot of important messages when it comes to SHINee. If you want to see the choreography for "Press Your Number" better you should check out his two performance version MVs. There is one version where he is dancing with the purple velvet suit on in the mansion, and there is another version that shows the full choreography using the setting where you see him outside in the culvert in a shallow pool of water. You should also watch the live performance from Taemin's Japanese arena tour, so you can hear the Japanese version of "Press Your Number." Because Taemin -- and all the members of SHINee -- are fluent in Japanese, when they perform in Japan the concert is almost entirely in Japanese. "Press Your Number" was originally wrote and composed by Bruno Mars.When SM bought the rights to the song and gave it to Taemin, Taemin and his team translated the words into Korean and changed the style and beat up a little to fit Taemin's style and to make it acceptable for a Korean audience. (Believe it or not, the original lyrics were even more racy than this. LOL) The choreography for the song also was 100% Taemin inspired. There's a reason why Taemin is considered one of THE BEST dancers and artists in the industry. And as you can see, that's why people say he embodies Michael Jackson. "Press Your Number" is the title track off his first full length solo album Press It from 2016, and it was the second release from the album. Both "Press Your Number" and "Drip Drop" were filmed in L.A. Because California is a union state the staff and backup dancers needed to be from California and they needed to use union members in order to get permits and to be given permission to film there, so that is one of the reasons why he decided to use non-Asian, western backup dancers in both MVs and why they are the same in both MVs as well.

Sayonara Hitori is so iconic, honestly Taemin has this tendency to create iconic songs, everything he touches becomes gold. You should really watch his MAMA 2016 performance and Hit The Stage with Koharu Sugawara (the choreographer of SayoHito and many other of Taemin’s songs), their dancing collab is something else… Press Your Number was shot in LA indeed and those are the same backup dancers from Drip Drop. The song was composed by Bruno Mars and I absolutely love it! Still a long way to Advice, but full of amazing music! :) She is is such a mood - I love the MV and the funky base in the song gives me life. Waiting for more SHINee!

Landon. Landon. Sayonara Hitori dance practice. Please 😭 it’s so good, his best imo. It’s a duet too with the choreographer, Koharu Sugawara. THE EMOTION it has. Koharu have also choreograped Taemin’s Move (and is the woman Taemin dances with) and Shinee’s Good Evening, which you’ll get to in the 2017 era. I also lovingly call Press Your Number the start of Taemin’s kink era. Man loves being tied up in his mv’s 😂

A good friend recommended me that dance practice when I was discovered Taemin and it cemented by absolute love and respect for him. may be my favourite of all his choreos. 💚
@milindawilson91753 жыл бұрын
You do know that every time you see Taemin tied up in one of his performances or MVs, that it's not because he is trying to be kinky, right? It always has a deeper meaning and it's a metaphor for an important message he is trying to portray in the story. Taemin is really smart, and he is very introspective. When he was younger he often struggled to break out of his shell and really express himself. So as a solo artist he uses his songs, MVs and performances to tell his story and to give a voice to the things he feels are important or something he wants people to understand about him or life in general. That is why Taemin's songs/MVs are often about the duality of a person and how he has struggled most of his life to come to terms with how people think of him vs. the way he sees himself, etc. Just thought you might like another perspective on Taemin and his messages within his songs. 😃

"She Is" is Jonghyun's title track on his second solo album from 2016. And just like SHINee, nothing he does will be like anything you have heard from him before. Jonghyun was such a magnificent singer/songwriter. His solo albums were all so colorful because it was 100% his voice and style -- he was the one that wrote and composed or co-composed the whole album every time. So his solo songs were where we got to hear his true thoughts and emotions and he could tell his story. He was truly brilliant when it came to music and that was why he was so highly respected by everyone in all aspects of the music industry. I truly believe that if he had had more time in this world, he would have eventually even made it into the U.S. music scene and he might have even wrote songs for western artists. Live performances are what makes SHINee special. There is nothing like a live performance from SHINee. You should really check out a live performance of "She Is," you will be even more impressed when you see and hear him perform live. And SHINee never performs a song the same way twice, so audiences never get tired of seeing or hearing SHINee's songs because every performance is different. That is because they were created to be SM's experimental boy group, so they are always coming up with ways to be new, unique and groundbreaking. SHINee is the group that starts the trend and it's the rest of the industry that follows suit. Yes, when it comes to SHINee, they all can do it all. The rappers can sing and the singers can rap. As trainees the members of SHINee started out training to be a hip-hop group, so they all learned how to rap. That's one of the reasons why they are so versatile. You did well Jonghyun, and you never will be forgotten.

Taemin's "Sayonara Hitori" is visually stunning and breathtaking. (This is sort of the vibe you need to expect from the majority of Taemin's Japanese MVs, they all have this very Japanese feel to them.) If you are curious how this MV was made, you should look up the behind the scenes/making of video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3-vqodqj7-qbbc You will see that for most of it Taemin is dancing in a shallow pool of water on a green screen set. About the only things that are real in the MV are the water and the piano,Taemin's amazing outfits and his impressive dancing. :D (And because this is one of his Japanese songs, you will get a chance to hear just how fluent and comfortable he is speaking in Japanese. :D) "Sayonara Hitori" is his Japanese solo debut. However, as you have seen, Taemin and SHINee have been well known Japanese artists since SHINee's Japanese debut in 2011. SHINee and Taemin are so famous in Japan that they are considered part of the mainstream music scene in Japan and many don't even consider them foreign artists. They spend almost 50% of their career in Japan, so they are all fluent in Japanese. The Korean version of this song is named "Goodbye." Sayonara means goodbye in Japanese. His Japanese album was so popular that they decided to produce a Korean version of the song later. The Korean version is what you hear if you watch Taemin's "Devil Inside" performance on the dance competition show Hit the Stage or any award show or concert performances outside of Japan. You should also check out the dance practice, vimeo.com/176263415 -- the dance practice is not on KZbin, so you have to use this link from a third-party video sharing site. You haven't even begun to see just how amazing the choreography for "Sayonara Hitori (Goodbye)" is. :P Fun fact: this was the first time Taemin worked with Sugawara Koharu who was also the choreographer for "Move," "Want," "Flame of Love," and she helped choreograph this performance on Hit the Stage, and was one of several who collaborated on Taemin's "Criminal" choreography. Taemin and Sugawara have worked together for years and they are really good friends. She was also the choreographer for SHINee's song "Good Evening." and she choreographed the dance for Girls Generation's song "Love&Girls," among others. She loves working with Taemin because his dance style and personality is very similar to her's so they mesh really well together, and that is one of the reasons why she has been featured in several of Taemin's projects. This was the first time that Taemin really learned a contemporary style dance and Sugawara was his teacher.

the song press your number is about/ The change from the girl to him, finding himself the one who committed the crime but the victim in the trunk is telling me that when the darkest and most selfish things he acted on were actually hurting himself all the time. . Desiring everything he wanted when he finds his blue roses is like what the point was, while the victim version doesn't even notice the roses because that's not what they care about. Two sides of a person and who they CHOOSE to be. Also who could he be and when does he accept those choices and face his true nature. The burning car burning that old life or the roads that were before and making a decision. He is neither the smart casual dress nor the leather jacket version of himself, but the new man in a suit who is arguably a mix of the best of both. He also feels like the change in him as he matures more and was developing his sound, his soloist and his career. (Side note: He's still standing in the gas-covered car when he drops the lighter, so part of my mind also saw him as the pyre from which a Phoenix would be reborn, making me the Flame Of MV. Love. This in February 2016 and Sayonara Hitori in July of that year, which is beautiful and about rebirth as well, so almost like an old version of himself he's ending up on Press Your Number going through some kind of reincarnation process. on Syonara and emerging as the reborn Phoenix on Flame of Love. I think you will LOVE both Mvs both visually and musically. The girl at the beginning, represents the good side of Taemin, while when he uses the black, which represents his bad side, this whole music video basically revolves around him in conflict with those two sides, the blue roses symbolize the unattainable, like those flowers. they do not occur naturally in nature. The car acts as a physical reminder of the wrong he has done, which is why in the end he looks down on him. The story of the MV is supposed to be Taemin's alter ego. He is fighting himself. The guy with the gun that is committing the crimes is his, or his character's, inner demons and when you see him tied up and regretting his actions, it's supposed to be Taemin's good side. You see flashes of both the girl and him tied up because they are supposed to be alternate realities or situations depending on which part of him is in control. How I interpret the blue rose is, it's supposed to indicate the time when things aren't real - these are times when Taemin's character is struggling with his mind to try and control reality. The more roses, the further it is from reality, etc., and Blue / aqua / green colors play an important role in much of what SHINee does because aqua / green is the color of SHINee's fan so it is used not only as part of the MV aesthetic, but also it's supposed to represent Shawols (SHINee fans) and the fact that even as a solo artist, Taemin is still a member of SHINee, etc. Press Your Number "was originally written and composed by Bruno Mars. When SM bought the rights to the song and gave it to Taemin, Taemin and his team translated the words into Korean and changed the style and tapped a bit to fit the song. Taemin's style and to make it palatable to a Korean audience. (Believe it or not, but the original lyrics were even spicier than this. LOL) The song's choreography was also 100% inspired by Taemin. There's a reason why that Taemin is considered one of the BEST dancers and artists in the industry And as you can see, that's why people say that he embodies MJ. Nobody can do what Taemin does, many have tried to copy him, but there is something special about the way it moves that can't be duplicated. Press Your Number "is the title track from their Press It album and was the second release of the album. You should see the other song and MV from this album," Drip Drop ". Both" "Press Your Number" and "Drip Drop" are they filmed in Los Angeles. Because California is a union state, the staff and backup dancers had to be from California and they had to use union members to get permits and get permission to film there, so that's one of the reasons you decided to use non-Asian western backup dancers.

So far this is my favorite part, I love all of these songs very much, and the designated albums they come from are literally my favorite (SHINee Japanese album Five, Jonghyun's She Is and Taemin's Press It, while Sayonara Hitori is one of my favorite JPN title tracks by him, it was also my very first one I've heard). And yes, you were right about KImi No Sei De video the girl who was a Shawol did pass away and her boyfriend attended SHINee's concert reminiscing her. While the song musically seems happy and fun, lyrically not so much and the MV storyline is pretty sad TT_TT. But it's a bop nonetheless. By the way, full Kimi No Sei De music video is available on official SHINee KZbin channel so I'm not quite sure why you used some sketchy website lol, but anyway.
