Shinji was a great footballer but greater personality. Every goal he scored he looked like a kid at christmas. He looked so honoured to have the chance to play in the Premier league and enjoyed every second of it. And we enjoyed watching him.

Well Goals were rare with Okazaki so no wonder he celebrated like it was Christmas

@@tomsonfire3740 Agreed. He had a soon to be world class striker in Vardy with him. As well as Ulloa who had the height. But a Shinji goal was nice to see.

Yep, he always had that passion to play for the team. He didn't play much in his last season but when he played, he always had the work rate and was never appreciated.

Why do you all rate him? This comment section is full of stupid fans. He was one of the worst striker we ever had. Work rate? No, no, no. What striker needs is a GOAL. His goal was full of easy tap ins which anyone could score, and he hasn't scored so much in the first place. Most OVERRATED player for Leicester.
@cloneraged4 жыл бұрын
M K 1. He is not the main striker 2. A high work rate player is important to open space for other players to create chances and score. He isnt just a shitty poacher. 3. He has important goals that made Leicester win the season (his overhead kick goal vs Newcastle where leicester won 1-0) 4. He is not overrated, everyone knows the star players during leicester’s prime is vardy, mahrez and kante. 5. One of the worst? I rate him better than slimani or iheanacho even if they have better technical abilities. He is a far more reliable back up striker. 6. Easy tap ins that anyone could score? LOL there is something called positioning and timing your runs. Okazaki is known to be good at that. 7. Whenever i see divock origi i remember okazaki. Sure hes not the main star striker that would bang goals everygame like vardy. But def a good back up :)

Clone Raged Oh, so just standing in front of goal is "good positioning"? WOW
@cloneraged4 жыл бұрын
M K standing in front of goal?? Bro if its so easy why are SO many fucking strikers not scoring goals? Why are so many strikers even in premier league teams are struggling? You sound like you never played football in your life
A guy who enjoyed playing football, the real smile at celebrations say it all. Pure man

A scuffed goal or an overhead kick goal, he knew they were worth the same. Its good to see someone rewarded because he went to the effort of getting into a likely spot

Vardy and Mahrez goals were critical for the champion season, but Okazaki's goals (first 5 here) were also vital for the champion season. Best goals in his career at leicester were number 8 and 14. Great fella

Orlito Hostos Perez Okazaki belongs to Osasuna of Liga 2. He has rocked the net 15 times this season, but has been canceled 7 times by VAR. He is the top scorer on the team and I think he has contributed a lot.

Ghylbert Situmorang so 2 people won the premiership all by themselves. Lol. At least put Mahrez in there as well. When the goals weren’t coming for Vardy, Okazaki and Mahrez stepped up. Okazaki especially with goals against City and Tottenham, if not for those goals Tottenham would’ve won the league instead.

He reminded me the importance of off the ball techniques. There were players like him in the past. for example, Van Nistelrooy, Filippo Inzaghi. In modern soccer , Forward need to join defense more . So it is difficult to get good position . his key success factor is hard work.

I love how he doesn't score any mediocre goals. Its' either incredible screamers, or really really un-flamboyant. But either way, its shows his determination. Go for goal, regardless of if it looks cool or not.

People in the comment section talking about fewer goals from Okazaki ... well he was the decoy for vardy in Ranieri's system ... his job was to create spaces for vardy or attack the goal for rebounds. In my opinion he did it superbly ... manager's delight
He looked like a real soccer Ninja to me out there. Japan is very proud of you🇯🇵 クシャってした笑顔最高!

I would like to know how many Vardy goals were scored with Okazaki being right there, giving Vardy options, giving the defence extra problems to cover off. From what I recall, quite a few. With Mahrez, those three made for a phenomenal goal scoring machine. Plus, Okazaki’s overhead kick to win taking them 5 points clear was a pivotal moment; pretty much sealed the deal there and then. The very epitome of a winning player playing an important team role.
