They are both available in Japan (which is where I live). For availability in your own country I recommend contacting Shinko and asking.

540 blew apart in a 5hr sand ride.

I'm assuming that you're talking about the regular (hard) compound 540, rather than the 540DC (soft gummy compound) in the video. I've never tried a regular 540. I would have thought that it would've performed well in sand, but only 5H isn't good!

@@TokyoOffroad it may be a DC tire, I'm not sure. But, it literally only lasted a few hours. I posted a short on it. Crazy how fast it fell apart, I almost wonder if it was a defective tire.

@@panic-revv85 AFAIK the Shinko 540DC is currently only available in Japan. The 540DC would not be ideal for sand due to the soft compound used for the central section knobs. It works great for technical off-road mixed riding, particularly it there is a lot of loamy soil and mud.

@@TokyoOffroad I'm in the US so it must not have been the DC. I thought it would have been a great tire.
