I dont know the technical music terminology but this song uses the same key and chords used in asriel's Hopes and Dreams. You could interchange the songs halfway through and they'd still flow pretty well. In fact i really want a remix where they do that.

Reecekun some of the songs loop in weird ways, for example, the forest theme abruptly cuts off when it loops. This song’s loop isn’t to bad imo but I can see it being sorta annoying. The song’s a bop tho so that keeps me distracted.

The way that he does it, however, makes the loop seem very obvious like it's screaming in your face "HELLO I EXIST!!" When you look at games like Pokémon, the loops aren't as obvious and is more subtle. You can definitely tell where the song loops back, but there isn't an awkward silence or build-up in the middle of the battle. Here's an example kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHileqqaZsuVp7s A good example of how looping should be is ScarletFlameFlandre's looping of Kasen's fanmade theme, Rumble Temple. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3PRdqSZp8edf7s You can hear the loop starting back, but it doesn't start with the drum intro that was in the very beginning. Even if you're concentrating on playing the game, hearing that drum every loop would get very annoying. Also, the composer of the song added a coda on the second iteration to add more variety. While some games do loop their songs by just repeating them over and over, the transition between each loop isn't as noticeable. The composers made it so that the transition seem more natural. It all flows in and out nicely how you'd expect the score to flow after removing the amount of layers he did. It does cut out juuuust a tad on this song though.
