GG! I'm currently routing this game and will probably start doing tries for the No hit in the next days, expert mode with shurikens allowed, power ups and No blocking, so it kinda compesate the use of power ups, will be fun!

Hi, I love this game and still play it, but something surprised me is that you never throw shurikens! I was wondering if it's related to any key bindings or what? no matter how I want to use the sword to defend myself shinobi will throw a shuriken then start to use the sword to defend, the only way I use is dash or air kick then hold B to bring the sword out. also there is something I sometimes face is the double air kick specially in mission three in the lab dealing with brain's in the tubes. could you please tell me how to do the defend without throwing shuriken and also do the double airkicks, thanks

That's a secret code called 6-Button Mode, it is involves using 2nd Player Controller when entering the Options Menu. Don't remember the button combination for 2nd Controller, so you'll have to google that. But the thing is, once you see "Option" instead of ""Options" in Menu, that's the signal that you did it right. After this, Throwing Kunais and Sword Attack become 2 separate button actions (X Y Z buttons now are used for other actions too).

@@TheErixcode Just hold down on D-Pad and spam the Sword Attack/Shuriken button while descending. The reason it worked so fast here was because the ceiling stopped the ascent, so after the first kick Shinobi went up because of recoil, and the immediately went back down because of the ceiling.

No you can't. "No Shurikens" Bonus at the end of the Level is only awarded if you don't THROW any Shuriken - it doesn't matter if it was thrown at the enemy or in she sky. I've tested it just now and it doesn't work the way you're describing.
