Rearranged music from one of the best soundtracks ever released in videogames: Shinobi III - Return of The Ninja Master. I will never forget what I thought when I first played the game and listened to the entire score: "This should be played by a jazz fusion band or rearranged by someone else".
My intention is to keep the formal structure of each music and apply minor variations only in shorter compositions. The entire soundtrack will be released: A total of 22 musics including from an early beta version of the game .
Music composed by Hirofumi Murasaki, Morihiko Akiyama and Masayuki Nagao. Produced, rearranged and mastered by CapricornX at Fasnia Studio.
Originaly released by SEGA in 1993.

In my musical infancy I commonly referred to certain phrases, licks, whathaveyou that I would hear in various songs as "Shinobi 3 style", because I didn't know a better way to describe it.

Shinobi 3 style is a mix of Jazz Fusion, Hard Rock and World Music (mainly Japanese traditional). The prevailing style is Jazz Fusion, though. It's funny because for several years (when I was a kid /teenager) I also referred to cerrain riffs, phrases, harmonic and melodic structures ( you name it) as "Shinobi III style" or even "Video Game music style". Until I find out about Jazz Fusion and that most VG composers are in fact Jazz Fusion musicians!
