both is true in a way. Shinri is correct that's it's still water in the end. But Hakka is annoyed that someone need to add flavor on water in order to hydrate. Which is valid, unnecessarily adding sugar to your diet only to hydrate. I'm so not relate to someone who doesn't like to drink still water. Because I'm thirsty all the time.

Shinri’s kinda right cause the whole watertok trend started as something among among bariatric patients who need an all liquid diet or have to drink a lot of water post surgery. But at the same time, a lot of water flavor syrups/packets have aspartame (the sweetener substitute you find in zero-sugar stuff) which is not to good for your health. So yeah, you’ll be hydrated but at the risk of consuming possibly carcinogenic stuff 😬
