Quite literally (Godzilla) 1984. This is an awesome and very unexpected rerelease from Bandai. Such a beautiful sculpt. Would def love to see the other Memorial Box gojis get rereleased (74 pls!!) and a cybot 84 as well. I have a feeling that 2023 figures will have painted and unpainted tails at random just to mess with us. Hope that paint does get better in the future. Merry Christmas!

Untapped potential and unearned money on their front if they choose to let long exclusive designs remain that way 👀 I’ll know it’s truly all over once 1955 gets a wide or GStore release. At that point, yeah, it’s allllllllll over! And then.. jeez… eventually they’ll run out of Godzilla designs (which is why I think they take so long in releasing Godzilla designs) and that’ll be a weird day in the world. WEIRD I tells ya. Yo Rob, Merry Christmas!!! Just got this figure as well and got to say, this figure is fantastic and finally an actual release of a very rare sculpt since the memorial box figure! Yeah the paint on tail is no different from the others so, skip that. As the 1984 film is a personal favorite of mine, this is a great figure to own and shouldn't be missed! As someone who owns the memorial box one, I'm giving this one to my brother so yay for him!!!! Great review!!!!

Calling 91, the second best Godzilla design EVER after 89, "grossly inferior" aside, another quality review. I already have the memorial box so I don't need this one but I've definitely heard a lot of people in the community want this suit so I am glad they will finally get it.

I wanted some reissue Gamera Showa Kaiju like Barugon, Viras, Gurion, Jiger and Zigra no need for Showa Gyaos, although Showa Gamera could be useful for getting other versions of Gamera to be like the Gameras from the Heisei Gamera Prequel manga The Last Hope since some Gameras look like the original Showa Gamera

The tail on the 91 is 100% the same as the 84. It is just bent slightly due to molding

This Godzilla is one that I have always wanted in my collection, the only 85 figure I have is merely one that uses it's mold and that one is NES Godzilla from neca which is a good figure but unfortunately I never gotten around to getting the reissue of 85 Godzilla himself but now I am gonna get me a 1985 Godzilla no doubt about it, would be neat if bandai made a release of 85 goji here with a Raymond Burr mini figure (which is something I would 100% get, even though the chances of companies in general actually doing humans aside singular point are next to none, hey who knows maybe Super7 could surprise us with one?) Also Thank God they didn't succumb to their glue sealing powers and decided not to glue seal the head.

This guy is absolutely perfect for filling the 84/85 void left by the Memorial Box Exclusivity! - That would be a cool thing for Bandai to include with their Godzilla figures in the future… a mini vehicle, human, prop, whatever have you! I’d be all in for something like that! Got a feeling if and when Super7 does get around to 1984… they might actually make a figure of both the suit and the cybot! Since an actual ‘official’ Cybot themed 1984 figure is very few and far between! Right up there alley & yes.. I feel like Super7 100% would include a Raymond Burr Figure next to a SuperX and maybe some lightening effects? Or maybe they’ll be hilariously heartless and include a volcano lmaoo

1984 is technically a Showa Boy, the movie was made right at the tail end of that era, so based on some vivid ergonomics, he’s first in the Heisei SERIES but last in the Showa ERA so he’s kind of a Fusion Era Guy Thing…Zilla. Ish. So technically no one’s wrong in that regard! Either or, he’s a favorite of mine as well! And it’s nice to finally have him back in the major market! And oof.. don’t remind me.. I’m not looking forward to that bill coming through. That’s for true.

I think the best way to look about the tail not being fully painted, is if Bandai decided to fade the color of the dorsal plates out instead of just a hard cut like Ultima. If they fade it, there isn't really a problem esthetically. But the hart cuties are ugly and distracting as hell.
