Captain Correction here, but it was January 4, 2016, not 2015 as you mistakenly said at the very beginning of this video when Nakamura, Styles, Anderson and Gallows all left New Japan Pro Wrestling for the WWE. Just so you know.

In 2015 AJ, Nakamura, and Gallows and Anderson WERE STILL UNDER CONTRACT WITH NEW JAPAN! Here's a quick timeline: 1) Sept. 27th 2015, Nakamura wins the IWGP Intercontinental from Hirooki Goto...he vacates the title on Jan. 25th, 2016. He shows up in the WWE officially April 1, 2016. 2) AJ Styles wins the IWGP title on Feb. 11th, 2015, loses it on July 5, 2015. Then has his match verses Nakamura at Wrestlekingdom 10, which was Jan. 4th, 2016. He shows up to the 2016 Royal Rumble which was Jan. 24th 2016. And finally Anderson and Gallows win the IWGP Tag Belts on July 5th 2015, then proceed to lose it on JANUARY 4TH 2016...the same day everyone in question gave their notice and eventually went to the WWE. So I'm sorry dude but you and everyone else who thought it was 2015 are wrong.

YO I realized what I did wrong... when I wrote the script I put 2015 left and right when AJ debuted but then people said 'naw bro it was 2016' so I did a find all 2015 and replace with 2016... didn't even realize that I had the first date correct. WOOPS. Botchamania. Apologies on saying you were wrong. I was 100% in the wrong and I'm always totally confused. I'm sorry I said you were wrong. I feel bad about it. My thoughts on the likeness: I think the actual mold is great, but the paint is what kills it. I kinda want to pick one up to keep, but I'd fix the head by removing the factory paint of the buzzed scalp and facial hair and repaint it with some gradation to it (hate how Mattel usually uses just solid color). I'd also paint the lips. Mattel never paints lips these days, and it really affects likenesses. I'd also repaint the soles and belt as you said.

I agree it would be an easier pill to swallow if it was AJ Styles. They should just start a new line called "Over-budget Elites" as this is what this is. Maybe if they didn't put those new stands in they could afford a few more pennies on this guys entrance gear or maybe just pick one moulded top for him to wear? Defining Moments can't be taken literally anymore, it's just a way to spend a bit more and make a bit more. It looks a good figure, the black paint missing is an absolute joke considering the line it is in.

If true, it doesn't surprise me that much. Mattel puts out so many WWE lines and waves a year. It's like someone doing daily vids - the content might not be top notch, but if you keep at it and do quantity over quality without people really noticing, you're bound to make moves.

I'm not a Star Wars guy and I don't mean to defend Hasbro but I think now that the movies have gone yearly they want to strike while the iron is hot and release all possible figures associated with that years movie just in case the become less desirable for what ever reason. Then sprinkle in classic trilogy characters as exclusives or short packs to make the hardcores hunt. I do have a Black Series Darth Maul though.

We already got daniel Bryan from WM 30. Good points about the figure. Especially the belt. I missed that. I think you're nitpicking a bit to much on the face. I think it looks like him. But to each their own. I get it. I agree about it being a DM. I think it was kind of unnecessary. I would have preferred a 2001 vengeance Chris Jericho instead and make Nakamura a elite. Yo, sorry I didn't go into details but what I usually always say is I want Daniel Bryan WM 30 with cloth boots and the two belts. They did that TRU exclusive but it was a quick repaint instead of something amazing to commemorate that event.

He had visible knee pads under his pants. Often when that happens, Mattel just throws on some knee pads over that pants or tights (see the latest Sami Zayn) but this is a far better way to do it - it gives the illusion of knee pads there without it being over the pants and it also allows the leg to move more.

That's just too much red. Is he Ken Masters? I don't think Nakamura has ever wore that red shirt with red pants. It's just too much. Also Defining Moments now are wack. Look at Bret Har'ts Defining moment. Came with a pleather jacket, sunglasses, Canadian flag, AND the WWF belt! What do we get now? Two plastic shirts? c'mon Mattel! Also LOL @ how Mattel had zero ideas for designing the box. Belts, Zippers, Studs GO GO GO!!! lol

the DM line was declining heavily. They needed something interesting to make it worthwhile since Warrior, Undertaker, Sting, and Cena were such shelfwarmers. Flair is doing well as the last DM and Savage and Charlotte should do well.
