One nice thing about the jorogumo is that the 2nd form is a 26HP spider, so the unit is quite resistant to remote attack spells like flames from the sky/ seeking arrow.

Cheers for the effort. Been testing Shinu in 6 a lot too and I came to the same conclusion about the O Bakemonos for expansion. Highly recommend having luck scales because if you get an early gold event you can recruit a truly stupid amount of O Bakemonos.

What do you think the likelihood of illwinter changing the scales system so it gives you more options? Like, it sucks and is boring narratively and gameplay wise that you only get +2/-2 from the pretender's default. Like, i like the more restrictive system - but if your nation gets a +1 to magic or +1 to misfortune, you should have the options of -2/+3 or -3/+2 instead of being so finnicky

I have no special knowledge to know if they will change it but my intuition says no because it was a major mechanical change and goes with their stated philosophy of making you think harder about Pretenders. Also I like your username, I was born in Serbia and my parents in former SFRJ 😊

It does not matter for their ranged attack with the bow however Shinuyama archers are also very good in melee and they are used differently than many other nation archers for that reason by placing them in front as blockers and to accept buffs until they run out of ammo.

Dom 5 shinuyama was pretty fun so i loaded them up as my first Dom 6 game...and quickly refunded the game after seeing how they were butchered. Let's hope there are a lot of re-balancing patches in the years ahead.

The Air random on the Kitsune is 23% instead of 25% but close enough for estimate purposes. If you just add the chances of each random together it counts the times you would get an A2 Kitsune twice.
