When I was little I remember gold plastic winged cherub heads, bells, and a gold foil angel on top of the artificial tree (we live in So Cal). Later, when my mom started her own business, she started collecting Santa's. I know they were poor when they first got married so every Christmas we would get a nice Hallmark ornament to save for when we grew up so we would be sure to have decorations even if we couldn't afford them.

I've been going to our Habitat of Humanity , and finding several vintage Christmas, I grew up in the 70's 80's Gen X 😊 my mom, has a nativity set my parent's brought back from Germany early 60's , they were stationed in Germany from 1961 to 1963.

I love watching your videos. Christmas was my mom's favorite time of the year. We had a real tree, (huge tree, my dad would go out to the country and cut one down every year), with multi color lights, lots of ornaments, and tinsel. Lots of tinsel. My mom loved using tinsel. My dad hated tinsel. My mom decorated the entire house and put-up lights everywhere she could. Inside and out, my dad got tired of taking the ones outside down after Christmas, so eventually he would just leave them up all year round. On Christmas Eve, we would go visit the family so the adults could have a drink, we would get home late and open presents, so my parents could sleep in on Christmas day.

So much fun, I totally loved this video. I am 59 and my parents Christmas was mostly older vintage with some newer things as well. My 4 kids all born in the 90's. I did a lot of snowmen, and snowflakes. Some years I did very jolly happy Santas. My kids loved it, they wanted me to leave it year-round. Funny kids.

I’m 52 and my mom always decorated the house with what’s known as vintage Christmas decor 🌲 I have continued doing the same with a touch of Victorian style decor as well

Nothing gives me nostalgic Christmas vibes more than those classic C7 and C9 incandescent light sets. I remember one year mom and dad put them on the tree and the fuse kept blowing 😂

Christmas was always very magical for us in the 90s when we were kids. We always would have a real Christmas tree (before I knew I was allergic to it) and the smell was always so lovely. We did multi color lights in the 90s and sometimes all white. We still have all of our vintage Christmas decorations and Christmas ornaments from the 90s and 50s and 60s. Sadly, we never really had any Halloween decorations but we do still have the home made costumes at least. Walmart has such cute decorations this year! I may grab a few next time I go.

We were home Made Christmas ordiments and tinsel . We had to put tinsel on the tree piece by piece til my mother was satisfy with the even placement . All your vintage reminds me of my grandparents and other relatives houses I so wanted to have .

We always had a real tree, even though it made my dad's arms break out carrying it inside. By the time I was about 11 or 12, I was the tree designer. Probably because I thought it should be a certain way.😂😂😂 I was born in the late 60s, so our ornaments were from the 60s through the 80s. I loved this shopping trip. I kept finding myself loling. Their vintage inspired stuff is really cute.🎅

When I was growing up we had a real tree every year. We put it up on Christmas Eve and took it down the evening of Christmas Day because of my allergies. I had 4 siblings that I’m sure just loved me for that 🙄🦌🎄

I do a lot of crafting and I hate glitter too. If you spray your ornaments or decorations with aerosol hair spray, it wo t come off, and it’s clear so you can’t see it. Give it a try! Love your xideos!

Find one undamaged n hit it with craft finish spray or hair spray…..seals in glitter! Test first if hair spray
