A great review. It's been a while since I took detailed look at some of this stuff, although I watch plenty of the ongoing news. And ho-hum, another Ship test firing. Geez, a former self who watched Hopper and then the first ship test fires on Pad A would not believe these would become somewhat routine.

When I was in the Air Force Tech School, i could look out the window and see a decommissioned Mercury Rocket just outside the building. I remember thinking how big it was, but then I see SpaceX. WOW!

Tiles need test in vacuum chamber, the epoxy to glue is possible to act as glass drop, Rupert drop, if you vibrate tail the drop broke because of internal pressure. My noob opinion. Glue, put on chamber vibrate hard, see if broke, one tile, repeat with 10-12. Is possible and easy. And frozen to space temperature.

They definitely shouldn’t be allowed to go into orbit until they have proved they can control Starships attitude in space and relight engines to simulate a de-orbit burn. Starship is to big and heavy to take a significant risks of an uncontrolled re-entry.

That’s precisely what they did with the IFT-3 fight profile.

The best way to prove that is by doing what they're doing. Going almost orbital so if there are issues it will naturally come back down, just like IFT3.
