One of the ways the Australian Maritime Safety Authority ensures safety of life, property and the protection of our sensitive environment is through Port State Control (PSC). Specialist marine surveyors are employed by AMSA at ports all around Australia and it is their job to ensure that ships visiting our ports comply with Australian standards.
