For modern times perhaps, but most people in that time were more connected than people back then, let me assure you they did not feel uncomfortable, at that time people had a much more community.mentality than back then, in modern standards hed seem more perverted but back then being close to a person was common, were just more disconnected now than before, don't be fooled by social media.
