Ah, I see you found SV Notorious. She's a replica of a Portuguese Caravelle, hand built by an Aussie who had a load of timber and a dream. Pretty amazing boat, really. She's black because of the traditional tar, pitch, and linseed oil mixture used to seal the wood.

Simon: I'm glad you and Erin are still friends and talking each day. I wish we could bring her back for another episode. If not, no problem. I still love the videos.

Yeah, Notorious (the black wooden boat) was down here in Melb a year or so ago and I had a look over her, yes a very hot boat inside (it even had a wooden stove inside). I do miss going sailing.. I'm a Life Member of the Vic branch of The Wooden Boat Association Inc. and have been to Tassie and lots of other places sailing. There are not many wooden boats of your size and condition sailing these days so it's great to see Narhval being used and newcomers to sailing seeing how old boats are still in use and are sailed. Keep up the great work.

Don’t you dare paint Narval black! Lol You have done a great job cleaning her up, she looks amazing! Did that ship come in under sail? That must have been something to see. Cheers

After watching Marina Blues and you talking about boat handling in tight spaces I have a question. Could someone before you have changed or replaced the prop for one the wrong pitch ?
