Very good presentation. Only one question which I seem to have missed. On the last two solutions, the figure of 100 came up in the calculations. TPC = A/100. Where did the 100 come from? Cheers. Stan

A ship is entering a port with harbour of sp.gr of water 1.005 from sea water on a mean draught of 5.2m. TPC around 4.5-5.5m draught of the ship is 40.0t/cm. If the permissible max.draught at harbour is 4.5m,then how much deballasting the ship must carry out to entrance into the harbour of the port? Would you please solve this question sir.
